I payed for the shuttle run which was $90 and before I started my trip, the Caucasian woman at the front desk said there’s a shuttle that comes at 2:30pm & there’s one at 3:30pm as well. I called the office when I finished my trip and the woman on the phone said there’s only a 3:30pm pick up time and that they won’t send anyone now to pick us up. I finished at 1:30pm, it only took us 3 hours (NOT 4-4.5 hours like they said on their map) to finish the murky deep water where the gators/turtles are at. I’m so angry and the lady on the phone was not friendly and not accommodating. She needs a retraining on customer service! I also don’t understand why misinformation is being spread around this establishment. On top of that, I finally got picked up by the shuttle and the driver and I found out that the other group who did the shuttle run as well had already left and picked up their IDs from Kings Landing. Meaning, my boyfriend and I were the only ones left! The driver told me that the office didn’t call her to inform her that we were the ONLY PARTY at Wekiva Island waiting. I waited 2 HOURS because the office doesn’t bother communicating with the shuttle driver. On top of that, I called the office several times because the first time I called asking about the 2:30pm pick up time, they told me they would ask around and call back. The woman never called me back, I HAD TO CALL THE OFFICE BACK TO GET A RESPONSE. I hope nothing but karma for the woman/woman’s at the office for wasting our time & causing my boyfriend and I an unnecessary delay. ——————————————————— I was trying to book for a haunting on Emerald cut and they had three tiers of releases for three different dates and the second date I checked the website at 12:20 PM. Mind you they release these tickets at 12PM each of these three different dates. And when I check, it was already sold out which really sucked. It was only 12:20, I wasn’t expecting that to sell out so quickly so today on September 30 I check again at 12 PM and it’s already showing up as sold out and I keep refreshing the page and at like 12:05 PM It shows that there’s only availability on October 31 and then it just says sold out again. I had called their phone number and they said that they leave 25 available slots for booking. Well they booked out fast or their website glitched because everyone is accessing their website as 12PM. They didn’t even post any stories about it on their Instagram so I don’t know how people know to look for tickets this date because even on the website it doesn’t show that today at September 1 that they were gonna release the last tear of tickets. I’m just so annoyed and mad because I literally didn’t get to book and I did what was told of me which was to check immediately at 12 PM and there was literally...

This is absolutely NOT a primitive campsite. This campsite is a mowed lawn with campsites 20 feet from each other and people and cars everywhere. I am an avid backpacker and camper so I do have high expectations coming from the west coast, but I’ll just say now — lower your expectations! This is one of the worst camping experiences I’ve personally had and we left a day early even though we booked two nights.

I do not recommend this campsite if you want a nature get-a-away and it’s definitely not worth $30/night!

The rules and regulations at these sites are not enforced and the crowds that this campsite attracts do not respect the rules for quiet time, speakers, noise or generators.

We had talked to the staff about our concern with noise levels since we arrived early afternoon and were immediately met with loud music from one of the campsites. They assured us they would “take care of it”. They did not. Another campsite was blasting music later in the day, so I kindly asked if they could turn it down. They continued blasting club music until 12:15 AM, where my husband had to sternly tell them to turn their music off since quiet hours are supposed to begin at 10 PM.

The positives are, as a “camper”, you have access to “the beach” area of the springs and it is absolutely gorgeous! You still have to pay to launch your own vessels (on top of the camping fee) but my husband and I did the 8.5 mile run to Wekiva Island and it was a fun adventure. Of course there were beautiful moments, but we were excited for our camping trip and were very disappointed with the...

Overall bad experience

We checked in for camping which was just an empty small field with a bench and a fire pit, not even 20 feet away from another site. The water that is coming out of the faucets honestly smells from a sewer. The port o potty was filled and dirty. We paid $30 to camp in some ones backyard.

We also were told we can launch our own paddle boards with nothing else needed, a lie. They wanted us to pay a launch fee. We got in the water and it felt like a swamp. The only blue area is at the very end and it’s roped off. I wouldn’t get in the water and I’m Florida born and raised. After getting back to the dock, they rudely said “I don’t know who searched your bags but for next time, there’s no speakers allowed”. This “park” is something I would never come back to or spend my money on. Disorganized and dirty to simply put it. I love the springs in Florida but to charge $30 to camp with no amenities or electric, a launch fee and then also not even be able to enjoy the water is crazy to me. Tour guides everywhere with people who have never paddled makes a very narrow spring chaotic. If you’re looking for what they advertise, do yourself the favor and go to ginnie or...

We had an amazing time on the water at King’s Landing. We chose the 2.5 hr guided tour, led by @tourguidekim, that starts you at the head of the spring. I highly recommend this trip if you don’t want to spend the majority of your time paddling against the river current. With this tour you get the luxury of being dropped off at the beginning of the Emerald Cut then spend the rest of your time floating downstream into the wildlife area. Our tour guide (@tourguidekim) was awesome! Ask for her when you book your trip for a great experience. It was our son’s first time kayaking and she did an amazing job coaching him on the basics and helping him have a great time. She finds several points on the river to stop, relax, and enjoy the water. Thanks for an amazing experience celebrating our daughter’s 14th birthday!

Overview: A very nice small primitive campsite. It is located across the street from Kings Landing and just .5 miles from Kelly Park. For the most part a quiet camp, but there are times in the early morning you will have movement coming into and out of the small community at the back of the campsite. What to Know: The campground is located at the end of Baptist Camp Rd on the left side, right across from Kings Landing. I found no electricity and no running water (Well, I did find a water spicket along the entry road next to the fence...Our secrete). There is one portapotty, but you can use the restrooms located just inside Kings Landing gate. A little on the pricy side, but you are located right next to two major hot spots to swim, hike, and kayak.
