We used Camp Joy to launched our Paddle-boards. Very reasonable pricing! On 5/24/23 only $3 (for 1-2 people). Little bit of a hike to drop them in but once you were floating… it was well worth the hike! The emerald cut - up stream, roughly 1 mile to the Kelly Park bridge, an then an amazing float back 🥰

Wow, this place is awesome! Not very crowded. Lot's of trails. Clean and the best part of it being a 15 min walk to Kelly Park Tubing area. If you have a big church group, this is good place for group camping.

Camping was in an open grassy field. About 800' from parking lot to kayak launch. Site manager was outstanding and accommodating. If you have to have a site manager, she is the one you would want!

I love camp joy. It's great for group camping without the bustle of having tons of other campers around on other sites because it is pretty private. The single star deduction is for the accommodations they have for restrooms. They are honestly a poor excuse as far as that goes and are in severe need of new ones as they are in pretty poor conditions. In order to use the toilets you practically have to drop trow before closing the door as most likely anyone average size or larger will have their knees touch the doors in sitting position. The toilets run and are loose from the floor along with broken locks on the stall doors. There is a single shower with a ratty curtain that offers zero privacy what so ever. The water heater does work as expected and seems to do so efficiently so that is a plus. Again overall this will not stop us from camping there it's just sad as the other Kelly park campgrounds have great facilities and have even recently been completely upgraded with new ones. Camp joy seems to be the forgotten middle child when it...

Worst camping expirience ever this year we camp there for thanksgiving weekend and we were treated horrible by the management lady in the park entrance they even called the cops on us for parking on the camp site to unload our equiptments 😔eventhough there was a sign that read we were allowed 1 hour to unload and reload at the camp site ,and the group that was next to us were doing the same thing but they were not treated like us ...if you have a large group that like to have clean fun just laugh and sing and sit around the campfire forget about it because we got in trouble for that to🤔my 8 and 9 year old kids were just sad they could not have fun .last year we camp here and it was the best but I guess they changed managment team or owners 😔 please there are other great camping ground around. stay away...

Save your $, save yourself the headache of this giant disappointment of a disaster campsite.

Parking is limited, and if you book site "A" you must walk all your gear about 600' down to the site. And the camp host will power trip on you for driving down to unload gear, rude as hell.

The bathrooms are a bad joke, and a long walk.

The biting gnats will drive you mad.

And expect a steady stream of kayakers cutting across the side of your site to launch.

There are far too many other places to enjoy outdoor rec to waste your time even considering this lame campsite. Not to mention the springs are Jam packed all summer. NOT WORTH...
