I recently stayed two nights while attending a basketball tournament. I stayed there a couple of years ago for the same tournament and had an unremarkable experience. This time was a little different. When checking in, the woman asked me if I would need coffee in the morning. When I said I did, she audibly sighed. Then she said that she would have to get milk for the morning (for the toast and cold cereal breakfast that they offered). It seemed like a great burden for her. The room itself was fine - clean and in good shape - except for the exceptional soft bed, way too soft. The first morning I went down for breakfast at 7:30. I found a plastic container that said "Bread". I opened it and there was one piece of soggy bread in it. The sign said that the desk would open at 8, so there was no one there to talk to about it. I toasted it anyway, then opened the jelly. Moldy. No one to tell. Second morning - two pieces of bread, non-soggy. However, the same jar of jelly was there. Since it was after 8 I gave it to the front desk. The person took it, said "oh", and didn't offer a replacement. ||I won't be staying...
Read moreThe room was very clean. The front desk receptionist, Karen, is very nice. The mattresses are very hard!! The bathroom is small and a little hard to maneuver around in when showering and dressing but it works. Our next door neighbors decided to turn their TV on very loudly at 5:30 in the morning so that was very inconsiderate but it wasn't the inn's fault. There is a very meager breakfast served in the morning as well. The inn is very close to everything in town. There is a gas station next door that make late night snacks convenient. Yoder's kitchen is right down the road and is fantastic. All in all, this place is a great place to stay.
Edit: Since my first review, they have updated their mattresses in the rooms. Now, the mattresses are like little clouds that you get to sleep on. I have been here 3 times since I wrote my first review and every time has still been great. I haven't had any more noisy neighbors either! Once again, I definitely recommend this place if you need somewhere to stay in or...
