OYO Hotel Atmore AL Hwy 21 — Hotel in Atmore

This was a frightening horrible experience for my brother who unfortunately had to stay at this place because his 4star hotel canceled his reservation. This place looked like a drug addicts paradise, and the price for their disgusting, outdated room was way over priced ($100 +). Inside the room were roaches, and the bedcover was gross!!!. In the bathroom there was a big hole in the wall, it was cover with a board. The hole was big enough for a person to sneak into the room. This place was sketchy and for this reason my brother decided not to leave his luggage or valuable items in that room. Turns out his instincts were correct. Because when he left the room he closed the curtains and turned on the AC and the TV, but later when he returned that night, he immediately noticed that the curtains were opened. Upon entering the room he discovered that the TV and AC had been turned off. It was very obvious that someone had watched him leave, and had entered his room possibly looking for money or valuable items. This place has setup written ALL over it, and we believe that they are entering that room through the hole in the bathroom wall. "To the Management and staff," there is no need to write a fake apology to appeal to the readers of this review, to persuad them all is well hoping they disregard this review and possibly decide to stay at your sleazy, greasy, slimy, grimy, dope-hole, rodents infestation motel or whatever...

*please read before booking * My family and I booked 4 room at the Atmore OYO for Aug 10-13 , 2021 two weeks before our arrival date. Some prepaid their rooms. We all received calls from the property that our rooms were canceled because they wasn’t honoring the online sites we booked through. When called customer service I was routed to India were a gentleman was very rude and told me to cancel my reservation and find another hotel I explained we as a family all were planning on attending.they provided me a new reservation which was more than online ok fine but when I called the property the front desk manager was very rude and hung up after telling me my reservation would be canceled . I Finally gave up and accepted that it was not meant for me to stay. We arrive the day of our check in because other family members thought they had it all taken care of by speaking to managers . Ha we got to the hotel and all their reservations were canceled and they prepaid . This place is a joke and look like crackhead central . Don’t book online . Don’t book period . Stay at the other hotels in the town. I’m contacting BBB ! The lobby looked dirty like someone’s living room. Horrible ! I wish I could give a...

Well sadly to say that we choose this Hotel for our Labor Day weekend. The staff is very friendly and they try their best with what they can. We got a double bed room and we where given only 2 bath towels per room and we are 4, on the second day and I had to wait till 2 pm for towels because staff had to wash them and they had none. The refrigerator did not work in the room and we had no phone and the cable was not working! Wow the owners just doesn't care about the quality of his hotel rooms that are given to their guests, and we paid for good quantity rooms that is what the website said and what I was told when I called the hotel. I was told they had a pool, torn down pool that is what they have! And no breakfast! And I feel so sorry for the poor people that come with visas to the United States to work as farm workers they have to live here in this place but I guess know one cares about there living conditions nor the owner or the contractor! They are cheap and don't want to pay cleaning staff to clean...
