Steve (the security officer) is a very nice man. I had pulled over on the side of the highway there, going into the park because I had gotten turned around somewhere in my directions leading to Grandfather Mountain. It was midnight & I was exhausted so I decided to sleep for a little while. When he came thru, he pulled off & told me to follow him. He took me to the park's campground which has a bathhouse & showers. He let me stay there at the picnic area for free just to make sure I was safe for the night. Faith in humanity restored....
