We arrived to find Carol-anne waiting for us, with a welcoming smile as big as Texas. She led us to our site and gave us a quick rundown of some of the park rules (trash, laundry, parking, etc). As others have said, there was a complimentary mason jar of deer corn on our picnic table and a printed sheet of park info. Lyn stopped by to say hello while we were setting up. He seems to always have something to keep him busy in the parkâŠalways on the go. They live up the hill, above the park, so theyâre close by if you need anything.||There are two shower/restrooms: a converted horse trailer (so cool!) and the more traditional one thatâs part of the office building. The traditional one has a shower that is divine! Big and roomy, with real water pressure!!! The laundry is two/two deal, with each load costing a total of either $3 (your own laundry soap and dryer sheets) or $5 (their laundry soap and dryer sheets). The Wi-Fi is the best weâve ever encountered! Never once were we knocked offline, no slow weak signal, we were able to stream as much as we wanted. It really was the best!||This is a very small park and it feels more like youâre hanging out in someoneâs backyard. Very cozy, very calm. Wildlife everywhere. We ended up buying 80 lbs of deer corn, strawberries, blueberries, cabbage, carrots, grapes and apples for the deer, as well as peanuts for the squirrel that lives in the knothole of the tree next to the deck. The wildlife was a big selling point in booking our stay here, and it did not disappoint: fawns, does, spikes, bucks, gray fox, raccoon, squirrels, cardinals, titmouses, doves and house finches were our visitors. ||I would imagine itâs tough to get a reservation here during high season, but if you can, do it! Youâll love it! (Word of cautionâŠthe last stretch of the drive here, maybe a quarter of a mile, is unmaintained gravel that requires a very slow crawl if you want to be kind to your rig. Take it slow and easy, and youâll be rewarded with a great stay at a lovely little...

Pros: next to the river, the river is very good. bathroom has A/C but only one out of two
Con: no dump trash, so if you don't wanna bring your trash back, an extra $20 to clean up your trash for one bag, which is a hidden charge don't show on their website no more than 1 cars in your campground. and cost extra $10 per vehicle parking in overflow. the owner is not happy we drove our car into our campground and pick up our stuff in last day, so we have picked up our stuff and walked between the campground and our cars. only 2 restrooms in the entire campsite. we have to wait for a shower after we have fun at the river.
I would say the river is great and there are some campsites next to this one. go to book other campsites but not this.
------ Replying to the owner: If you buy an airplane ticket, at the moment you onboard, soundly they tell you to use the bathroom for $10 dollars every time. That is how I feel about your trash policy, and really uncommon. We were trying to follow you strict rule.
For the parking, why not let us drive our car to pick up our stuff at the campsite? we were following your rule, parking at the overflow area and paying an extra$10 for each car. Driving car and picking up stuff at our campground is not on your rule list, but you did not let us do it. Carrying 4 the tent, cooler and other gear and hiking to the overflow area were not fun.
BTW, I did not see your laminated copy of the rule when I arrive, I only know the rules that when you and my friend told me.
Overall, your rules are stricter than a...
Read moreWe stayed at Boulderdash with two other couples over the 4th of July weekend in RV spot #3. It's a great park and we enjoyed our time there. Getting to spot #3 is a little treacherous but luckily a gentleman was there to help navigate getting the RV trailer into position along the cliff side. Definitely a bit of a white knuckle experience and I'm not sure how comfortable it would have been w/o him there. Spot #3 sits on a bit of an incline so make sure you're able to level your trailer - we weren't as there was an issue with our RV jacks - obviously not something Boulderdash could have solved for.
It's a little hike down a steep hill to the river but it's concrete and not a big deal. Once down at the river, there's a nice shaded area to hang out in. You can access the river via a boat ramp or some stairs. The river was pretty busy with boats and jet skis but it's likely attributable to the holiday weekend.
Overall, we had a really nice stay at the Park and would certainly do it again next time we need a long weekend get-away. The only glaring issue we had was with the shower on-site - which is set up in an horse trailer - pretty cool! The water was scalding hot (could only get a small dribble of cold water to come out) so had to navigate that one carefully. It would also have been nice to have some communal BBQ grills near the RV spots. Again though, a really great experience and look forward to our...
