Mt. Home Cabins are my home away from home. The cabins are each unique, rustic and decorated with pieces that have either sentimental or historical value. If you need turn down service, room service or the absolute in luxury this isn't for you. This place signifies all that keeps New Hampshire quirky and cool. The owners are kind, caring, remeber who you are, work hard to accommodate requests, even though it is basically two people who run the show, from cleaning to building to checking you in. There isn't a single cabin that isn't my favorite, the waterfall is peaceful, you can bring your kind ours, there are old school games where people have to talk with one another to play them, fire pits and sooo many trails to walk. We come from England now for an annual pilgrimage. The Garland family take pride in their property and are friendly, helpful proprietors. Rocking chairs on porches, waterfall a stroll away out back, picnic benches in front of the cabins, beautiful majestic pines silhouetted against the sky...these images call me back year after year. Superb location for hiking in Crawford notch, which is unspoiled and less commercial than other parts of the White Mountains. If you're looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings, this...
