Found this spot on-line while looking for a dog friendly lodging near the Sawyer River Road Trail to Mt. Carrigain (10 minutes from the Inn to the trail head). Nice little place right off State Rte 302 (this is really just a little town road). We stayed in a small motel-like building nearer to the street that had 4-5 rooms in it. We found it small (which was fine by us for two people and small dog), clean and well appointed. I'm average size and found the shower stall to be the size of a phone booth but the water pressure and temperature were great. Bed super comfortable. Window-mounted A/C got the job done. Not much road noise at all but if you are worried about that stuff, just get a different cabin on the property thats further back from the street. The main inn (that also had the common areas) was beautiful. Clearly the owners gave it a lot of care and thought when redoing it. As we were there to hike, we didn't check out the rest of the grounds or use the pool, sauna or fire pits. (Wood burning fire pit was on the lawn directly across from our room and looked great). It was less than a 15 drive down the road to Attitash Ski mountain and we had early dinner at a place called Matty B's which was great as there is no food per se at the Inn. Booking was easy and done all on line and via a series of texts/duplicate follow up emails). We never spoke to or saw the owners/inn keepers or staff which was odd to us as we usually stay at places where you see people but when we had questions, text message were answered super fast so it worked. If we have more mountain adventures in the Bartlett area, we...
Read moreRecently I stayed up at the Aurora with a few buddies of mine. We stayed in The Main Inn in the Conway Double Room. Not only the room but the whole place was absolutely amazing. They people who work there are great and super friendly. They even started the fire in the common room while we were playing games. The room was spacious and well decorated. The bathrooms are very nice, both of them in our room had great amenities. In the common room alone there are many things to do, they have a great selection of board games and card games that are perfect for families. Overall the property is fantastic. Some things they have is a pool, sauna and a hiking trail right on property. The sauna is truly amazing after a long day of skiing. Unfortunately I was not able to use the pool due to it being winter but from the looks of it, it would be awesome during the summer months. There is also so many things to do right in and around the area. This is a great spot for anyone that wants to explore the outdoors and experience this beautiful part of NH. Me and my buddies went up for a ski trip and the hotel was perfect for that. Attitash and Wildcat are right near by and are great mountains that fit every skill level. Attitash was only 6 minutes away and Wildcat is only...
Read moreI went with a few friends last weekend and the main inn was great. I felt at home, unlike a regular hotel. The decorations were high quality And the housekeepers were very nice people. The bedrooms we rented (the Conway Double) each had their own bathroom, with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash already in there. The bedrooms themselves were very nice. The 2 person bedroom I slept in with a friend was spacious, so there was plenty of room for the two of us and our stuff (I left a picture of it, if the beds don’t look well made that’s because I took the picture the morning after we slept there). There’s plenty of stuff to do on the property. There’s a hiking trail and a pool, which we didn’t use because of it being winter, but we did use the sauna, which was great after skiing. The inn is close to both Attitash and Wildcat ski resort, which the three of us went to. It’s less than 10 minutes from Attitash, and about 25 from Wildcat (beats 2 1/2 hours). The views on the roads all around the place are amazing. You can see Mt. Washington from many of them (I left a couple pictures of that as well). I highly recommend this over a...
