"Dumpy" motel exterior. Owner checked me in at the delapadated office / heavily damaged by water leaks. Office is separate from building which houses motel rooms. Office building had a crumpled piece of plastic laid over its roof which was "not at all helping to stop the roofs water leak(s)". Ceiling tiles within the office were water damaged. At the time I had no other options. Based on the exterior of their building I could only hope for an insect free, fairly clean room. Told that this was (smoking) only room available; yuk. She then proceeded to under quote the total cost of the room by not revealing a $3.50 C.C. Service Fee. Next, after having entered the room, the t.v. & phone were inoperable. About 45 minutes later I heard a clicking-noise off to my left. A large Mud Dauber Wasp had crawled thru the [wall mounted] A/C vents & dropped onto the wooden floor. I crushed the wasp with my shoe. Soon after I noticed at the back of this room, in an upper corner, four Mud Dauber Wasp nests. They were inactive, but just beneath them was a shelf which was littered with powdery mud & wall plaster debris which had fallen from these nests. Also, after lifting up the seat cover, I easily noticed that the toilet was not cleaned properly. In addition, there are numerous Mud Daubers flying around the facia of the motel building. They are flying in & out of this buildings roof-overhang light-fixtures. Pest control, to this management, has been deemed "a waste of money". As I had already stated, I had no other options. The next morning during check-out, I mentioned these issues to the same person [the owner] who shrugged off my [polite] complaints. This place is shabby & needs a "barbers trim". With the use of a Bull Dozer instead of scissors. At least I didn't get chewed up by bed bugs or fleas. Maybe this was because the bugs had already checked out of this room in...
Read moreOk,, staff isnt to blame for this property. its...a dump ?? not filthy, but, built maybe in the late 60's, and other than remodeling it by BLOWING IT UP, not much to change.||No phone in my room, no clock. had to move from one room as the a/c refused to work. bathroom.. I would wear flip flops if walking in it. carpet was... well, put it this way. I brought a can of lysol with me for just such an occasion. ||||bed... hahahahahahah... calling it a "bed" is the same as calling a Wasp sting slightly annoying... it was, and I kid you not, a boxspring with a glorified mattress pad on top of it. it was ROCK hard with lumps. worst bed I have ever slept on.. period.. and thats in comparison to hundreds of hotels over the years. pillows, just bring your own ( I always do when I can, thank god )..||Bed had a sheet, and some kind of .. cover ?? felt like it was made out of old burlap potato sacks.. only those would of been more comfortable..||||And lets not forget the PRICE for this fine establishment..||||$65 a nite... wasnt worth $25... I was falling asleep at the wheel, figured this would be cheap... ooops..||||Yea,, next time I will sleep in my car if this is my only option. and no, I am...
Read moreThey deserve 5 stars for customer service! We were tent camping and the weather forced us to change plans. Miss D cleaned our room early so we could unpack before the storm. We didn't try using the internet. The cable did go out on occasion, but it wasn't for long. The beds were ok. Where they lost us was the, longterm resident (with 3 young children)above us, the carpets and the a/c unit. If you stay in Unit#2 be aware that the children above you are VERY active. They were nice people, but they were so loud it scared not only us, but our dog and she would crawl under the bed shaking. This was disturbing and disgusting, because the carpets and the a/c smelled like a bathroom floor at a Frat party. We sprayed both heavily with disinfectant and wore socks or slippers all the time. They charge 4% for using a card. If you are traveling with pets they charged $100 refundable deposit. Just remember...they charge$104, but you only get $100 back. They are really nice people. And Miss D is working so hard. While we were there, we did see them clean the carpets in 2 other units. Hopefully #2 is on that list. We felt safe there. Don't hesitate to...
