Eagle Inn — Hotel in Beaver Dam

I thought this was going to be a nice place to rest our heads before going to mammoth cave the next day. I was wrong. Check in was fast and easy. Got to the room- killed two spiders and the room smelled musty. Went over to turn the heater on and there were mold and dark marks by the trim all over the wall.

Went back to the office and asked for another room. She gave me the key to the room after mine. This new room didn’t smell musty, but again, more dark marks on the wall. Maybe paint was placed over the mold? The trim had green spots on it. Hair was in the shower, and just dirty all around.

Towels all had yellow stains, just felt so disgusting staying there. :( wanted to leave but don’t have the kind of money to buy another hotel room and not get a refund for this one.

It’s a basic room which is fine, just couldn’t get over the dirty bathroom, and dirty wall. We didn’t even sleep in the bed next...

Horrible, room was beyond filthy white stuff all over brown fold over blanket, dried yellow stuff running down wall next to bed, no door frame on door to room, cig burns all over room, bugs in light, no battery cover on remote, bugs in toilet, bugs behind toilet, shower curtain was gross, drain and faucet was nasty... I didn't want to touch anything in this room let alone sleep here.. We checked in and went and got food then got back to room and realized how gross it was went to front desk to ask for money back and she said you wait an hour and ask for your money back... Then asked if we not like room... She said money would be returned to card but they should of been ashamed to allow a customer to even see that room, let alone charge them to stay there.. She acted stunned and surprised, like she had just cleaned it herself lol.. Wish I could post these pictures of the filthy nasty...

Staff/housekeeper flat out rude in all aspects. Kept our deposit after we even stripped the linens to help out and took trash out our self. They say they allow pets and moved us rooms firming the middle of our stay because our dog was barking they even charged a high fee for our dog but yet made us feel like a inconvenience to have our dog with us. The day of check out started calling our room at 6am and every hour after harrassing us to remind us that check out is at 11am. All together very unprofessional service and very uncomfortable stay at this place! Business can definitely reflect they charge way too high for the amenities and service they do not provide. Wouldn’t stay here again if my life depended on it. Waste of money...
