I would give negative stars if that was an option. My husband and I made a reservation at this hotel for the Liberty University commencement and planned to spend time in the area after a long travel. First, they mark up the room rates when there is an event in the area. The rooms are advertised for $65-112 regularly and for that weekend $230-270, which they are NOT worth that amount. We checked in, went to our assigned room and were greeted with a musty/moldy odor as soon as we opened the door. We also found the bed was extremely uncomfortable as well. think a brick would be softer! We could not remain in the room due to the odor. My husband has asthma and lung disease which is affected by mold. We went to the desk and requested to be released from our reservation. We were told that per policy we would be charged for the full stay. According to their website if you are a no show, you are only charged the deposit or first night. So a no show it treated with better respect than a guest that arrived but could not remain due to the conditions of the rooms. We have made multiple attempts to reach out to this hotel and have been ignored. The only thing they finally did was to refund the $50 the charged us for a miscellaneous charge. Another unsatisfied guest from the same weekend stated in their review that they too left due to the odor and were only charged for the first night and credited. I would avoid this hotel due to their room conditions and poor customer service. I always believed that Wyndham was reputable but this hotel franchise had changed my mind on that. Update: Even after several attempts to reach out and attempts to receive assistance of the BBB and Wyndham Corporation, to date, July 2025 we have not even received an apology from this hotel. Just a message provided to Wyndham that they email the non refundable policy to us prior to our stay. Back then we had faith in the pictures and the cost of the room that it was a decent place so saw no reason to cancel. The reality is a different picture. Wyndham has apologized and will compensate us for the future but we will receive not financial assistance from what we lost. Iâm not even expecting full compensation, just something to offset the overcharge of...

Read moreAre there better words to describe atrocious and appalling? Never before have I seen anything so terrible from any hotel or motel, whatever you wish to call this place. My room alone had over 13 stink bugs alive and dead. It looked like someone just swept all of their dead little bodies into the corners and tried to hide them under the bed. Our bathroom and kitchen accessories looked like the 80s but don't worry they do have a 42" flat screen TV! My roommate described her sleep and shower like this," I slept in this bed and when I woke up I needed to wash this bed off me, but when I got in the shower I needed to wash the shower off." Neither my roommate or myself even slept under the covers. We kept our clothes in our bags in fear of them being attacked by stink bugs. I'm so glad that we got the room we did though, I know that sounds crazy, how could you be glad of that monstrosity of a room? Well let me explain. The room two doors down had what appeared to be blood splatter on the ceiling and the tiles had been changed recently. They could have at least tried to clean that right? No! In some rooms, the heaters didn't even work. It was in the low 30s the first night. I haven't even gone into detail about alot of the things wrong with only my room. Oh don't forget about their free breakfast, I loved the sour apple juice, the bruised fruit. But don't fret you can make your own waffles! I don't know how long the batter was there but it was awful! I feel like I could go on for even longer but I hope you get the point, choose somewhere else, for you health and the health of...
