This is a privately owned campground that is very old and outdated. The sites are small and tight. The roads within the park are not wide enough for most large trailers and motor homes. Most sites only have 30-amp service. There is no wifi or cable. There are numerous problems with the pool: not filled completely, tiles cracking and chipping, dirty due to the filters not being changed. There are activities but are geared completely to the French Canadians. There are plenty of palm trees with few (less than 5 other trees). One large beautiful healthy oak tree was taken down while we were are the park due to it dropping a few leaves on the tennis courts. A huge issue is the garbage dumpsters. It is always overflowing and smelly! They do not have enough trash containers for the number of people in the park. There are also lots of fish heads and etc put into the dumpster not wrapped. There are rules on the campground map but are only enforced for those campers that the manager does not like. The rest of the campers can do whatever they like including parking more than 2 vehicles, a boat, a trailer and a truck on their site, dump fish parts in the dumpster, jump into the pool with sun oil on, speed on the roads, go the wrong way on one way roads and not clean up after their dog. Over the half of the park are permanent trailers so the park is more like a mobile home park than a RV park.. I would not recommend this park to anyone. We camped at Okeechobee Landing RV Resort in a...
Read moreWe needed to evacuate our RV park in central Fl ahead of Hurricane Ian. Sally (park manager at O.L.) was a Godsend ❣️ While hotels & other parks were full and/or price gauging, Sally put 4 RV couples from our park & numerous others (from other parks or homes) in full hook up sites at a deeply discounted rate …. AND hosted an evacuee luncheon with karaoke to give us all an opportunity to relax & unwind. She is a genuine GEM of a person & park manager. Her staff is the best group of people you could meet as well. We were so blessed to have found this park, in a true time of need & will be forever indebted to Sally & her crew for taking care of us during a horrific time. Continued prayers for the victims and families devastated by this...
Read moreIf I could give 10 stars I would. Sally Gordon is the kindest, most compassionate person I have met. During Hurricane Ian, when we were fleeing from Fort Myers, she welcomed us with open arms and did not take advantage of a horrible situation by raising rates or creating more stress. She allowed us to stay as long as we needed to, until we could go back to our home. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and her staff was available to make sure our needs were met. Thank You Sally and Staff. You really stepped up to a very horrific situation. Sharon and Doug Morrison. We stayed...
