Wow. Not sure how other reviewers overlooked the freeway. And website says "quiet". Huh?? There is major noise not surprisingly since I sat at my dinette and LOOKED at the traffic going by. Not my favorite morning coffee camping scene. Also would not recommend coming in at night which is self check in. Office closes at 5pm (poor signage, had to guess which building it was) and even though the owner lives right across from the office, I wandered around in circles trying to find my site in a maze of same size gravel "roads". Which were roads and which were sites?? Owner finally came out as I passed the office once again and said, "We-ell, I could get in the golf cart and show you." (No, no, just let me keep circling . . . !!) Very poorly marked and poorly lit UNTIL I'm in my site. Then there's a security light adjacent that makes a Walmart parking lot seem dark. Weather was lovely so had windows open (blinds closed) but big mistake. With noise and glaring light still coming in, hardly slept. Maybe in a big rig or in a different site? They were not full. Yes, definitely, grounds are wooded, pretty and clean. Perhaps with daytime arrival, run A/C to drown out traffic, black out drapes. But what's the benefit to a wooded setting with traffic whizzing by? Who wants to sit outside and listen to that? Oh, and had to pay by cash or check. Why couldn't the woman who took my reservation just take my credit card? Or don't they take cards? Would...
Read moreWow!! What a great park! Lots of great shade trees, very nicely maintained park, big level gravel spaces, big rig friendly, easy on/off the freeway, plenty of places to walk dogs for their outdoor needs- you name it, this park has it! So the wifi isn't the greatest at the back of the park but honestly I don't count on getting good wifi anywhere therefore I don't set myself up for disppointment. No cable but you can pick up a few local channels. If you want/need satellite be sure to ask for a less shaded spot. We did not hook ours up so unsure if you could pick up satellite from the more open spots. Two bath houses that are nice and clean (the ones up front are air conditioned). They do charge $2 if you have an extra vehicle (we had our 5er, truck and my 4runner) which I wasn't too happy about but after seeing how nice the park is I was happy to pay the extra. They don't take credit cards and they do accept Good Sam for discounts. It's not far off the interstate so you do have traffic noise but it's not bad. The workamper couple here were very welcoming and friendly. We paid $35 for one night and we would definitely stay here again! Oh, they have chickens roaming around and give customers free eggs but they do...
Read moreWhat a delight after a 600 mile drive on an RV trip with a 4 and 6 year old for an overnight. The instant you pull in you see a well tended mixed garden, sunflowers taller than you can reach and a bench swing on a massive oak tree. On entry you are greeted by cheerful staff and the owners had a mound of surplus produce from their garden for hungry guest. Chunky chickens, happy ducks meandered the grounds taking opportunity to ambush bugs. No poultry mess or smell we noticed. We had an easy pull through in our 44 foot class A (site 5) pulling a 6 seater golf cart on a trailer. We played hide and seek in the mowed woods and then cooled off in the saltwater pool. All over you see tended plants and flowers in raised planters with a large potting station beside the office. Water pressure was great and the wifi was fine. This place is a gem and we would stay here again. It must take a staggering amount of labor to keep the grounds as...
