The most magical place on earth. I’m pretty certain of that. Truly an unbelievable labor of love.
2 months before my husband (then fiance) and I’s wedding, our original venue in Flagler fell through because… well… it was literally falling through (like the whole place was actually falling apart). With most guests having flights and hotels already booked, Sean and I very spontaneously booked an emergency flight to scramble find a solution (within 3 days 🫨). It was hard to accept and let go of a dream we were envisioning for 10 months prior… but the second we pulled into Si Como No, the cord was instantly cut.
The colors and energy are so happy and the vibes are truly immaculate – seriously a true labor of LOVE in comparison. Another bonus is that their beach is private, and made it so perfect and easy to have our dream beach wedding (and avoid all the permits on public beach), and afterward we moved ourselves and 90 people up to Si Como No.
I am truly so grateful that everything went so wrong at the first venue to lead us to something even better – an actual slice of tropical paradise heaven – where everything went so right. I’d do it a million times over again. What a BLESSING in disguise. I love this place so much it hurts!!!!!
It was the most magical, fun and happy day of our lives. Everything was seriously so perfect. The owners are the kindest people and were so accommodating and flexible, especially 2 months before the wedding when we were scrambling for a new venue. The rooms themselves are unbelievably adorable. The art everywhere is done by the owners and it’s just the coolest, most relaxing tropical oasis in the world. You will not be disappointed. My husband and I plan to come back every year as a little wedding tradition.
Here’s some Polaroids of our special day...
Read moreI can't leave 3.5 stars so I'm going to round up since I know first hand that running a business isn't easy.
Rooms: quite small, beds aren't bad, bathroom is tiny, we had room 1 which is right next to the road. Monster trucks and muscle cars whizzing by at 3AM woke me up several times.
Service: I called them a total of 5 times over 8 months, never once did I get someone directly on the phone even in the middle of the day. They consider after-hours to begin at 5PM! One night coming back from Daytona, our room key WOULD NOT WORK! Three people trying it, I finally forced it to work but it was disturbing that nobody was around at 7:45PM and nobody answered the phone. They did call back about 15 minutes later. Overall, I personally don't think that the business model of trying to run an Inn remotely is working very well.
Location: about an hour from JAX, less than 1/2 hour to Daytona, decent restaurants within 10 minutes, right across road from beach. Good sidewalk all the way into town, Florida in February - yeah..
Value: It was not cheap but comparable price to other places that were further from the beach.
We are non-drinkers so the vibe thing that others talk about didn't process for us.
Would we go back? Probably,...
Read moreThis little hotel is so cute! Very colorful, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was very nice and will go out of their way to get you what you need. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely. The bed was very comfortable. Keep in mind, the motel itself is old and rustic and there are only a few rooms. My room was a bit musty smelling, but that is to be expected when you’re so close to the beach and in an older building. I cranked the air down and the smell wasn’t as bad. There is no pool, but the beach is directly across the street with a crossing bridge very close. I watched the most gorgeous sunrise on the beach, very memorable. Behind the hotel is the intercoastal where you can rent kayaks. There is an area across from the rooms with picnic tables, a grill, and a bar with a television where you can have a full dining experience cooking your own food if you wish. There is no restaurant on site, but right up the street heading south, and very close are a couple of restaurants and further down you’ll find the pier and other cool places to shop and dine. Overall, I really loved this little Motel and I would...
