My family and I just visited this restaurant. My sister found it and based on great food reviews we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately yall, we waited about 45 minutes for our order. I will add that when we arrived it was really busy which made us all the more excitedbecausewe figured the food must be good! . After about 15 minutes it was MUCH calmer- its like the room emptied out so we figured our food would be arriving sooner than later. You know how when you visit a restaurant and it's so busy- so you figure your food will be late. Well this was NOT this experience. As I said, it calmed down BUT we waited an additional 30 minutes!! There were people who came in after us and received their meals!! To add insult to injury, our waitresses just disappeared on us. She wasn't regularly checking in- so we were just left sitting. We beckoned other waitresses as we waited to please check on our food. The experience was awful. My husband finally turned around and found a gentleman waiter and to complain to him about our wait. The waiter said, they had already compensated our meals and were very apologetic. When this final conversation took place...half of the meals were finally delivered. My father in-law ordered just grits and eggs with toast but only had grits delivered after a 45 minute wait!! My mother in-law ordered a chicken salad sandwich and at the end of the 45 minute wait when they brought out half of the orders she was THEN informed there was no more chicken salad to make her sandwich. WOW!!! This is the picture that I included that shows half of the meals delivered. Plus, we only found out the meal was compensated by calling over a waiter. No one came to the table formally to apologize!!! Unreal. Anyways, we still tipped because our family believes in and values service jobs. It's just truly unfortunate when the experience is as such.

Absolutely my favorite brunch restaurant with a down-home cozy beachy environment. Amazing views of Flagler Beach. Indoor/Outdoor seating. Family owned & family oriented, great place for children. The staff was incredible. The food, OMGOSH the FOODis melt in your mouth delicious!!! The prices of breakfasts and lunches blew my mind! You can order a breakfast or lunch already on the menu or you can order ala cart. My fiance and I ordered 1 chocolate chip pancake that was so fluffy and LOADED with chocolate chips, a side of grits that melted in your mouth, 1 side of ham (large pcs) that was tasty, 1 s8de of hashbrowns and a Sausage Bowl (Sausage, country potatoes, 2 eggs, & cheese) served with a side of country gravy (It was a lot of food and delicious, & 1 biscuit which is homemade and so delectable! We ordered coffee for our drinks and the coffee was a definite hit for us. The coffee tasted fresh, with no bitter notes or burnt tones. We drank 2 cups of coffee which we rarely get through a cup at other breakfast spots. My fiance and I sat inside facing the ocean which was so beautiful!!! It was not overcrowded and the seating outside was just as comfortable as the seating inside. The atmosphere was homey, comfortable, fun, and exciting. All the staff had smiles on their faces and were happy we were there. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves breakfast/brunch or lunch! The prices were so cheap we ordered 2 pancakes and 2 sides of hashbrowns to go for my sister and her fiance at home. Our bill came to $46 for 4 breakfasts! You cannot beat that price anywhere!

We stopped here while traveling through along A1A. I really just wanted coffee, but we decided to eat. It was wonderful. Our waitress Gia helped us decide what to get. My husband got the Kahlua French Toast and I had the blackened shrimp and grits. I drank an Americano and he had a frozen cinnamon cookie drink. The Americana was the perfect temperature and tasted great. We’re from Oklahoma, and shrimp & grits are not a common menu option, so I got them. And honestly, I don’t really have anything to compare them to. The shrimp was fresh and had the right amount of seasoning. The grits were really smooth and I was expecting them to be, well, gritty? Ha! They were covered in melted cheddar, and together it was the perfect blend of flavor and texture. The Kahlua French toast came with a couple of pats of real butter and a side of maple syrup. French toast has a tendency to be a little soggy, but this one was made with Texas toast and was cooked perfectly. It was lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. My husband claims it was definitely cooked by someone who loves French toast. ;) We sat on the patio and watched the waves crash the shore. There were tons of butterflies hanging out in the vegetation on the north side of the building. I visited the ladies bathroom, and it was decorated with eclectic art and some great pieces for sale made from wine corks. Everything was really clean. Our bill for the 4 items was $33 before tip. If we ever find ourselves passing through Flagler on A1A again, we will definitely stop in.

Yesterday about 9:40 am we had our first ever visit here. When we arrived 4 of the six of us climbed the steps at the back. My sister and I chose to go to the front entrance. A positive note...The ramp was welcomed! I noticed the "wait to be seated" sign but saw a waitress and the other four following her in so we joined them. There was only one couple behind us on the ramp and they were seated as we went in. We waited a long while and the newer guests coming up the ramp kept getting seated and getting their drink orders served. Food orders even arrived for them! We were not greeted at first at all except with glaring stares! Finally after 6 different parties were seated and served, a waitress said gruffly" We will be with you in a while you were supposed to wait to be seated!" It was said with curt undertones! No welcoming behavior at all. I personally would have left then. Finally after the staff waited and seated a couple of other parties who had just arrived. A nice waitress then took our orders for coffee or other beverages. The menu that I was handed was covered with sticky stuff visible slimy stuff. After waiting about 20 minutes we all got our orders. My niece found hair in her eggs. Other things went wrong too. We only stayed because our breakfast out was a Celebration for our little Honor Graduate. She had been wanting us to go there! We drove the extra way to go find this Java Joint. Some of us had been up since 4 am in order to arrive at her school on time. We were Hungry, tired and new to the area. I was at first excited about the decor but the cold, rude comments were unwelcomed. Just letting new comers know.... wait to be seated or face the wrath...
