my husband and I had a reservation at this hotel April 15. We are were arriving from separate cities and my flight was canceled and I had to take a later flight than expected.(he flew from home in Chicago and I was flying from Michigan after visiting my mother who is on hospice.) He arrived at the hotel first, but since I booked the hotel it was in my name and the front desk employee named Heidi would not let him check in. She said I had to be with him. I called the reservation center and added his name to the reservation as a guest. She still would not let him check in I called and explain the situation to her that my flight was canceled, and it was beyond my control , but I would be there later in the evening on a new flight. She still would not let him check in was unhelpful and unsympathetic and rude. I asked to speak to her manager, who she said his name was Teresa, who she said had left for the day. She said I had to cancel the reservation that I had made months previously and rebook it in my husband’s name and this would make the triple because it was a last-minute reservation instead of a booking. I did ahead of time to make it more affordable. when I tried to explain this to her, she cut me off and she said I’m canceling this reservation and hung up on me. Hilton needs to be put at the front desk because this is your first and last opinion of the hotel as a whole. We have never had such a bad experience at Hotel for business. My husband left and found a much nicer hotel that was not a Hilton brand. Shame on you Hampton...
Read moreThe room was clean, the air conditioner unit relatively quiet, pool and hot tub clean, great breakfast, and friendly staff. I was at the end of the hallway but still had good wifi signal. This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and the grounds, with its grass and tall trees, are a nice reprieve from the usual arrangement of multiple hotels sharing expansive blacktop lots. The trade-off to this relative seclusion is that you're going to have to drive a little farther to find anything more than fast food and gas station snacks. But that's a trade I'm happy to make. Only two minor complaints: (1) The plumbing is really loud. Someone turned on the water in a room next to us or above us and I couldn't hear my TV any more. I had a private jacuzzi suite room, so I don't know if it's unique to that kind of room or a problem with the hotel on the whole. (2) Parking is limited. I got there early enough that I had no problem. But I noticed that two trucks with trailers were occupying 11-12 parking spaces on the back row instead of parking on the not-at-all busy street. Sure enough the next morning I saw a number of non trailer-pulling motorists were forced to park on the street because of this. Despite those two issues, I would readily...
Read moreI had an okay experience here at this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean and the woman at the front desk was helpful and nice. We had a room where you had to force the door to open and she showed us how to get in without any problem. However the next morning breakfast was sufficient but not that great. I got enough there but the food tasted like it had no flavor and it was dry as well. The woman in charge of the breakfast there made us very uncomfortable with her rude comments and stares. My mom made a waffle for my special needs brother then proceeded to make her own. The woman had the nerve to ask my mom "You are getting another waffle?!?" Like it was some problem. She should have been worried about cooking some better food that has flavor and isn't dry. Rather had her do that then trying to shame someone for getting another waffle thinking my mom was eating a bunch of waffles when she was making one for herself and my special needs brother. If it were up to me, get rid of the woman in charge of breakfast there because you are supposed to be friendly with customers instead of attempting to shame someone. My mom also went over to get a danish and she had to run over there and stare at her as she "cleaned" just to see how...
