The amazing time we had visiting Yellowstone was made all the better by staying at the Little Trail Creek Cabins. ||The end of day and waking mornings found us peace and relaxation by the surrounding area and the cabin “The Sage“||Anyone wanting to add comfort to the travels to Yellowstone will find the opportunity at LTCC. ||There is the opportunity to relax, watch the calming movement of wild animals grazing the property. The horses coming to the fence line for petting pleasure. ||There is plenty of opportunity for preparation of meals in the very well equipped kitchen allowing for continued gatherings of being together while avoiding crowds in town. ||The openness of cabin Sage, the very large bedrooms, washer/dryer, open deck for relaxing etc..gave the comfort of being home. ||If traveling with pets, don’t fret it! They are welcomed at LTCC and open to roam the property. ||We had three dogs, and while the dogs need to be crated if left unattended when away, the host offers the opportunity to watch your animals.||One of ours was left in cabin in their crate, while the other two were under their care enjoying some traveling with their pups. All the animals stayed relaxed. Remember in Yellowstone park pets aren’t free to be walked, so LTCC was our perfect arrangement. ||LTCC is in Gardiner, a quaint small town with eats, drinks and a well-equipped grocery store. We found all we needed when not at the cabin. Keep in mind it’s a seasonal town much like Yellowstone, so things maybe closed as well. ||Also, just down from the LTCC was the Yellowstone hot springs. A very relaxing soaking experience. ||Needless to say, LTCC was pure bliss in their offerings, location, relaxation etc. if you forget something they can...
Read moreWe had the most amazing stay here! Jim and Shawn are absolutely fantastic hosts. The location of the property can't be beat--less than 10 minutes from the North entrance of Yellowstone. The house itself is beautiful with extraordinarily comfortable beds and a completely stocked kitchen and bathroom, which makes packing so much easier. Our son loved logging on to the TV every night after exploring Yellowstone. We also loved feeding the horses every morning! We took advantage of the meal options Shawn and Jim offer, and we had the ham and beans and the elk stew. Our son declared the ham and beans, in particular, to be the best meal he's ever had, and said, "The best cooks in Montana are here!". We also loved the elk in the yard every morning, and how quiet and peaceful the area is. As for the negative reviews: if you cancel within a week of your visit, you will lose your money unless you have purchased insurance. A place like a remote corner of Montana is not a last-minute planned vacation--that is a vacation planed in advance--and the owners cannot be expected to absorb the cost of cancelled rooms when they have almost zero prospects of renting them out again at the last minute. We are absolutely going to be coming back and staying with Shawn and Jim again, and we have already recommended them to...
Read moreWe stayed in the Sage Creek Cabin and it was AMAZING! I know other reviews have mentioned that you cannot get your money back if you cancel, but that is made very clear when booking, that is also why there is insurance offered if need be. This place was amazing! Very clean, safe, quiet and peaceful! I am a horse girl and the horses they have and other animals are VERY...WELL...CARED...FOR!!!! Yes they are hunters but I applaud you for that and being responsible about it. Thank you so much for an amazing place to make unforgettable memories! The beds were VERY comfortable and huge! The in unit washer and dryer, dish washer and accessible shower were perfect! Thank you for your hospitality and being very responsive! We WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE BACK!!! Thank you for thinking of everything we may possibly need!!! We REALLY appreciate how accommodating you are about pets, providing beds for them indoors and outdoors! We cannot thank you enough!!! My only suggestion is to change your names to a little piece of heaven...
