My Wife and I stayed here 5 years ago; we loved it so much that I sent everything in to TripAdvisor to get them listed. We went back this year, and it was instantly obvious that Jim & Laurie have been VERY busy improving Maple Terrace Resort. The free Wi-Fi is good, but you’d be foolish NOT to get the High Speed internet, and at $7 for the week, why not? You’ll want to send pics of the cabins, the views, sitting around the Community Fire Pit next to the Welcome Center (GREAT spot for hosting get-togethers), and pics of you relaxing on the various cabin decks. Now, all the cabins have tankless water heaters, and it’s so nice you’ll want to go roll around in mud just so that you can take another shower! There are TVs in the cabins, but you’ll probably never turn it on; this place is made for socializing. PRO TIP: When the cabins were built, the outlets were placed close to the floor. The cabins have been carpeted since then, but the outlets are VERY close to the floor (see pic). You may want to bring a small extension cord for plugging in your CPAP, or charger for your cameras and/or phones. We waited 5 years to go back to Maple Terrace Resort. We won’t make that mistake again, and you...
Read moreWe spent several days up here with our family; boating, fishing, visiting local shops and relaxing. this place is really good!||||I talked with Jim, the on-site owner/manager, and he said that they will be completely upgrading their across-the-resort WiFi, which is great because you're gonna want to upload and share pics of your time at the Maple Tree Resort with all your friends!||||The place is clean, the boats run great and it's pretty darned quiet! Just remember; this is not "Beaches" all-inclusive resort. The kichens are fully stocked, there is a microwave, coffeemaker, fridge, full-size stove & oven, but you should bring a "camp stove" to fry your freshly-caught fish out on the patio, BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS (extra towels are always a good idea), and things like paper towels & napkins. Weekly rates are posted on their website http://www.mapleterraceresort.com/index.html||||There are no laundry facilities at the Resort, the closest one is in Spooner (25 minutes away), so pack accordingly.||||We are definately looking forward to...
Read moreThe Johnson family was fortunate enough to find an opening at the MT back in 2004. We have been coming up ever since for our family vacations. Jim and Laurie treat you like family just like the former proprietors (Bill and Marilyn) did. The cabins are clean and modern (cable, wifi, ac and plenty of hot water for your showers). Birch lake is your door step with all the action any angler can handle. From all pan fish to Muski (Birch lake feeds into lake Chetek!) you won't be disappointed-period!!! The resort has a new addition worth mention-Jim built a wonderful guest party shack with all the amenities (ac,sound system, huge outdoor deck and more). We like to gather here during the evening (after fishing of course) to enjoy the company of other resort guests, have a few Leinenkugels while we feed the AWESOME FIRE PIT. A++++ Thanks Jim/Laurie-see ya soon!!!!!...
