Our family stayed at the sweet serengeti two nights with Myra and Colin. It is an adventure you will never forget. We met Betty the ostrich, who would let you pet her and feed her, we met zebras who we hand fed, you could be sitting at the lovely pond and imagine they would just come down for a drink of water, right across from you like you were in a national geographic film. The gazelles in person are stunning, and when they run, you are transported to Africa. The wildebeest close-up in person was breathtaking. The bull, Beast, would shake his huge head and snort when you brought him food. His ladies and their babies were so inquisitive, and their eyes were such a beautiful Carmel color. The ourecks up close and person you will never forget, their breaktaking beauty and movements as a flock, and don't forget the new baby. Don't forget the three donkeys. They love food and being scratched behind the ears. We got a private tour with Myra that was full of love for her animals and people, which made us feel like old friends right away. Colin is a true gentleman as well and allowed us to go down and help feed the animals with him. Myra and Colin's hospitality included breakfast, coffee and treats, and lively conversation.
You could go out into the sauna or hot tub, sit by the lake, and have a bonfire or fish and catch wide mouth bass, catfish, and crappies.
Or just sit by the authentic hut by the other side and soak up some rays while being transported to an African plain.
There was a family staying with some children in the cabin, and they would laugh and giggle when Betty, the ostrich, would come over and tap on the window for treats. They thought that was so wonderful.
If you get a chance, stop by and have a wonderful stay, we will definitely...
Read moreI highly recommend staying here. It was an amazing experience. Our family definitely made memories that will last a lifetime.
We drove all the way from Northern Colorado to this farm. The b&b is beautiful. The property is gorgeous. The pond is a hidden paradise.
We arrived in the evening. Myra had the hot tub ready and waiting so we could unwind after our long drive. She was gracious enough to watch our infant so we could enjoy a soak.
Both Myra and her husband are great cooks and make delicious breakfast. They are also wonderful conversationist. We enjoyed getting to know eachother. They both made us feel at home and welcomed.
Our family loved this experience. We got to interact and feed the zebras. Our toddler kept talking about have fun it was.
One of our days visiting we were able to arrange to have some close friends come visit us and get to experience the farm as well. It was fantastic being able to caught up with them during our trip. We loved watching the children feed/pet the zebras.
We stayed in the media room and the wild Safari room. It worked perfectly for our family of 5.
You have to visit the pond. It is picturesque. We spent a whole day enjoying it. Swimming, peddle boating, kayaking, fishing, and sun bathing. It was fantastic that they provided life us in a variety of sizes.
While walking to the pond we were approached by the zebras and the donkeys. They are very social animals. They really like their snacks. Betty, The ostrich also came to visit us at the pond.
You get to go a tour of the property and get to see the other animals up close.
We rate this 5 out of 5 and definitely plan to...
