Avoid Vacassa and this house. Strong words, yes, but here is the frustration...... We drove 1000 miles to Breckenridge for our 1 family vacation this year and were told on August 1st (4 hours before check-in time) that there was no water. Mark, the property manager, found that the well was not pumping on July 29th, 3 days ahead of our arrival. Why did he or Vacassa not call us immediately so we could decide to take the chance it might not be fixed before we drove 1000 miles? Now, 4 hours before check-in, the family vacation planned for Breckenridge is relocated to Beaver Creek (1.25 hours away). Only choices were move to separate units (not a house) in Beaver creek, take a refund and scratch the family vacation after driving 1000 miles home, or take a $25/day discount if we stayed in house without water. Final option was unrealistic. We took Beaver Creek, which is no Breckenridge. Then, on August 4th, at 1:00PM, Mark called and said everything was fixed, just cleaning needed touched up. Upon return to the house, it was very clean, but had no gas or running water. I called Mark, he sent out John and 5 hours later the switch contact problem on the well pressure tank was resolved. Made for the most stressful vacation our family has experienced in 30+ years of traveling USA. Some gesture of compensation would have been nice, no matter how small. WeI didn't know circumstances until I hit I-70 after a 1000mile drive. Mark or Vacassa should have informed us of Kobza house pump circumstances on July 29th before we were "over a barrel" upon...
