If you love, the classic tail wags the dog scenario where we are at the property for the bemusement of the employees, then you will love this place. The front desk will never greet you or even acknowledge you if they are taking their time with the only other guest at the counter. When and only when you have sufficiently waited long enough to realize their person comfort is the only factor that matters here, you will be helped. Upon checking into your room. You will pass what perhaps passes for art in the form of several bags of trash sitting outside of rooms. Don't be too hasty taking it all in because you will see them upon every trip to and from your room. The view of the river is excellent. The view in the room, however, falls well short. House keeping turns a blind eye to all the dust in the room. The lamps are disgusting and look like they have never seen a swifter. The bathroom somehow manages to hold the humidity all day while simultaneously being dusty. You can lose all concern if you tend to shed your long hair because they just leave it on their towels to avoid all the fuss. The first night of our stay, one of our guests stayed behind to take a quick shower and get a bite to eat in the casino. Total fail as they were out of ice cream cones, no worries, just pivot to a slice of pizza, nope out of that also. Option 3, maybe a sandwich. Nope, they looked waxed over and inedible. Total fail. Day 2, a swim day. The pool looks like it was recently soured, while the water was clear, the walls were still stained with alge. Refreshing nonetheless. After a quick shower and change of clothes, we did have really great service at the college football bar. When employees actually give a damn here, they recycle them. The bartender later worked the celebration of life event that brought us there. Again, really great service. Overall, the property looks vastly understaffed. What you really need to understand about the skeleton crew they do have is that we, the guests, are really just in their way. This is evident by the way three employees will stand in an isle with the big Rubbermaid tubs telling each other stories filled with profanity. Our presence there only becomes a nusence to their personal enjoyment because, after all, we spend $320 for two nights there for their convenience. Should you make it through day 2 on site with anything positive, stay tuned. So we leave the east tower at 9 am Sunday morning, head to the elevator, and punch a floor only to have the employees burst through an access door with the same lovely Rubbermaid tub to take out the elbow of one of my guests. I'm not sure that any corporate training would have you burst through a door tub first, but at this point, there is zero shock here. Not so much as an apology or any concern for his well-being. So, if you can pretend to give a shit whatsoever at this point, you can pull video. But again, we are there for your amusement, not our personal comfort. Another note about housekeeping, they have the audacity to leave an envelope to leave a tip while simultaneously leaving notes saying they will not clean the room without requesting it. Fair enough, you say? Nope! Other guests we had there were told upon calling that they were just too busy that day to clean the rooms. So again, it's clear we are there for their amusement. To summarize, they should just close this property. Do not stay here. They won't...

SO DISAPPOINTED, From the moment we arrived things went from bad to worse, we had a prior online reservation that stated it included all charges and the "resort fee", but upon check in they tried to charge us an additional $15 resort fee and $2 cleaning fee. I explained that we had a reservation that stated all those charges were included and I would not pay again, the gal said she could cancel the reservation but could not guarantee we would not be charged anyway due to not cancelling 72 hours in advance! After some back and forth someone else emerged from the back and said a manager was not there but she would have them credit us the $17 when they came in in the morning. Left us feeling like they tried to overcharge and get away with it, strike one. After unpacking and looking forward to a good meal we headed to the only opening dining area, the grill. Had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated due to lack of staff. Had a question about a menu item and confirmed what was included with the water boy but when the food arrived it wasn't as he explained. Asked the waitress about it and she was instantly defensive. She finally retrieved the item that was to be included, but never returned to our table to ask if we needed anything else. We questioned her as to why when she brought the check, which we had to flag her down to get, and she stated she did return to our table! Complete lie, strike 2. After dinner we wanted to spend time gambling, started at 2 video poker machines but the buttons kept malfunctioning so we cashed out to move to other machines, between the 2 of us we tried 8, yes eight, different machines and could not get one to take our vouchers. We went to the cage and explained what was happening, the lady said the vouchers were probably printed too lightly, we presented them to her and said they are printed very black and should be reading just fine, she shrugged her shoulders and offered no other help. We said we want to spend the evening gambling but were not able to if we could not find properly working machines, she said that was our propagative and offered nothing else, strike 3, game over, we returned to our room feeling completely disappointed in every aspect of the place. Went to check out the next morning and were handed a receipt without the correct charges. Explained to the woman that we were due a refund of $17 and she VERY rudely shouted we were given the refund. Stated no the receipt does not show it, she again said we had been given the refund, and again we stated the receipt didn't show it. She became extremely infuriated and said she was going to call security on us! We asked for what???? She then went to the back and came back with a new receipt that reflected $15 of the $17 we were to be refunded, asked about the other $2, at that point someone else came from the back and stated the $2 is for cleaning and is never refunded! One woman finally sarcastically said she would give us the $2, completely missing the point that it wasn't about the money, it was about the integrity of the place and trying to overcharge guests. As someone else stated in a review, everyone in this place is angry. Not one person was friendly nor cared about us as guest. Overcharged, treated rudely, non working casino machines, enough to say-...

Former Security Officer and former Slot Technician. Stay away from tribally owned casinos. They can do whatever they want. This one issues cuffs to it's security team, enabling them to affect arrests. They have tactical training on how to take down people who fight the arrest. Aside from a couple federal and state regulations they have to follow, they don't have to abide by discrimination laws or the Americans with Disabilities Act. I was terminated because my cane was deemed a liability despite me being a Security Officer who was trained in Defensive Tactics. I trained in that class with Plantar Fasciitis without the aid of my cane. I worked for weeks without it. When it finally became too much I got a doctor's note for light duty as was requested of me. I then brought my cane into work and assumed a seated role. It was only for a week and I was let go after only 3 days. I am a member of a federally recognized tribe, a direct descendant of Chief Loco, and this is how I was treated. Stay away. There are better casinos in Nevada. Complete disclosure since they have no authority off their lands: Do not play slots. They are programmed to 92.8%. So, if you spend $100, you can only expect to get back $92.80. Half of the machines are jerry rigged and ready to catch fire. I personally told a slot tech about a fire concern regarding the wiring on a machine and was waved off. 3 days later during the floor drop, that same machine caught fire. Luckily no customers were by it and security was on scene and ready to go with a fire extinguisher. They can thank Security Supe Cesar for his quick actions. I smelt it, he put it out. If we had not been doing the drop nearby? Who knows how bad it could have gotten. We were 15 feet from the machine.

All slot machines use player tracking from the 80s. Do with that what you will.

I have played all of the machines in that casino using the casino's money as a slot tech and the ones most likely to pay are the whell of fortune machines, of which there are only 4. Those machines only really pay out when using Max Bet. Otherwise, it takes 10 button presses to win anything substantial on any of the others. Remember, doesn't matter how much you put in, those machines are set to 92.8%. $100=$92.80 $1,000=$928. Slot techs regularly break standards and jerry rig the machines instead of doing full repairs. Practically none of the equipment is new, being taken from other slot machines that were bought for parts. Even the machines that look new have old tech inside. The USB ports can't be used to cheat as they are isolated to the power source. Game is irrelevant, it is merely a skin. They only care about you as a staff member if you are part of their tribe. Otherwise you can depend on them to...

**AVOID ROOM 1047 on the Marina Level** or any room that sits under a suite. It has been awhile since I stayed at the Bluewater Resort, but the weekday prices were great and the proximity to the marina with boat slips was nice. We stayed on the Marina level to avoid hauling stuff up and down the slow elevators to get to the boat, and when you look closely around the room you can see there has been extensive water damage (paint peeling and bottom of doors have rot/warping/cracking) and they don't seem to clean as thoroughly behind guests with dogs (extra sandy and fur, even with the "cleaned standard" sheet the housekeeper signs). The biggest warning to future guests is to avoid Marina Level rooms if there is even a chance of a rain storm. We had an unexpected thunderstorm hit, and there was leaking throughout the building--but nothing like on the Marina Level. We had other family members staying on the Marina Level as well, and the leaking doors were manageable with towels and nice staff to help clean up the next day. We were in room 1047. A whole different story. It rained harder in our room through the canned lights and ceiling drywall (the joint seam) than it was in the exterior hallway. The bathroom flooded, then the room flooded and our bed was soaked. We were moved to another room, but the AC there didn't work and the doors/entry were still leaking. See videos attached (**edit: Google not posting videos for some reason**); videos are from about 15 minutes after the storm started, it lasted almost 3 hrs and by the time we moved out of our room there was sitting water (1-2") on the floor. In the new room, the AC was set to 69* before we arrived and the room stayed at 77* until the next day because maintenance is only there from 6 am to 11 pm. I was told we should have asked for another room that night, but it was 2 am and I was wet and tired. I didn't expect so many issues since this is a resort not an RV park or campground. You can tell the overall building infrastructure--resort, casino, pool, restaurants, etc--is aging and nothing proactive is being done to prevent major issues. Which was the excuse from every staff member we talked to about the issues we experienced. When we asked for one-night to be comped for being woken up by rain in the room and a non-working AC in the new room, we were informed that weather events were not a viable reason for a discount but the AC issue would be reviewed. We never received a call or email about the decision and no money has been adjusted. Oh, and there is no WiFi anywhere but on the casino floor and zero cell reception. Signs say they are "working on upgrades." Looking at other reviews, this has been the case for a few years.

UPDATE: I went to management to discuss the items below and they just said "we are sorry". She said that we should have requested a room change when we first we first checked it. I told her that we were told that they were full. She said they reserve rooms for these situations. I explained that I observed uncleanliness throughout the hotel, not just in our room. ------------ We are here now staying for two nights. While there are a few positives, we would not recommend staying at this hotel. For the positives, the setting is really nice on the river, they have pet-friendly rooms, the staff is pleasant, and the casino while small, has a variety of machines. There is also a large pool area with slide for both kids and adults. But overall the hotel is not clean. There were stains on our sheets. Dust and dirt all over the room. I even found a small prescription pill on the bathroom floor. The outdoor seating area was also dirty. Throughout the hotel, and especially in the elevators, everything was quite dirty. Even the cafe tables at The River Walk Deli were filthy. I've included a few photos. The fitness area has some good equipment, but there are no bathrooms, no water source, and it was very hot with the thermostat locked down. Rooms can also be quite noisy because of the outdoor corridor. There was a large concert here the night we stayed so obviously that contributed to the noise. We were informed when we checked in that there was no Wi-Fi in any of the rooms. You had to be in the casino to use the Wi-Fi. Apparently they are working on this but it might take a long long time to fix. We also found out that because of the construction of the building we also had no cell service in our room. We had to step outside or go to the casino every time he wanted to connect. The outside lock to our patio did not work. There was a security bar so we used that every time we had to go out and in. Service is very slow. I think they are short-staffed. It took about 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar. Overall the place is dated. It does have potential so hopefully they are working on it. But right now I would not recommend staying here.

To start off this review, I would like to say my family and I were very excited to experience the blue water resort. We normally air BNB, but we wanted to check out this spot due to the boat slips and the water slide inside. (Water slide is totally closed down and broken, but they are still advertising it online as it's still open). Once we got to our rooms (3 marina rooms) Rms 1038,1039,1040 we discovered the disgusting conditions below. Our shower hadn't been cleaned in at least a month or more. The shower had mold and orange soap scum all throughout the grout. My whole family had to shower with our water shoes on like we were in the river. The bathroom door was rusting completely thru the backside. (Photo below) There was hair leftover in the shower from a previous stay before we got there. ( Proof the rooms weren't cleaned ) (Photos below) There was also dead gnats all over the bathroom ceiling (photos below) The door knob also fell off my bathroom door on the first day as well. The ironing board had dust about 1/2" thick. (Photo below) Besides the room conditions, the service was even worse. The hostess"Olivia" at the blue water grill was extremely rude to our entire group on multiple occasions. We ate pizza at the deli and everyone that ate it puked later that night. After speaking with management, I was told they would be in touch with me to discuss my concerns about our stay. They took my name and number and never reached out to me. If you want to stay somewhere and feel like a burden to the staff. This is the place! If I didn't have family coming from out of state to stay here with me ( reason for 3 rooms ) and two boat slips, I would've asked for my money back and stayed elsewhere. But there is a no refund policy. This place was absolute trash. And the staff was even worse. Please stay away from this dump.
