    • This review is for Bradford Inn. I can’t say much about the “Eatery”, since we did not eat there.

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at Bradford Inn, and it will be the last. I really wanted to leave a glowing review, but that is not to be the case.

Here are the particulars:

It is really nothing more than a motel with a nice image from the road. It is not really a true “bed and breakfast” in the sense that you would think of it as basically a warm and cozy house with a home-cooked breakfast.

There are some serious electrical problems that need to be addressed. Nearly all of the electrical outlets are very loose in the wall and will almost pull out of the wall when unplugging things. I know this has not been fixed in two-plus years, as they were all loose at that time as well.

The beds are a true health hazard and I am surprised they have not been sued for causing serious knee and leg injuries. The corners of the beds stick out from the mattresses and are hidden under the bedspread. They are at the perfect height, and of sufficient thickness, to destroy knees and upper shins. My wife’s legs are both black and blue from running over the corners. This has never happened anywhere else we have ever stayed.

The breakfast is basically the same, monotonous thing every morning - frozen/heated biscuits, sausage, sausage gravy, eggs (scrambled, fried, etc), waffles, and a very few other things. I will say the coffee and orange juice are both very good. It would be great to actually have bacon, oatmeal, some fruit, etc. Hotels, such as Holiday Inn, Best Western, and others, have somewhat better offerings for breakfast.

BUT, the worst of it is the noise. Given that the building is so shoddily built, the owners/managers should do their best to keep things quiet. They did make a very minimal effort at first, until it was discovered that the noise was actually coming from the family of one of the employees. We called and spoke directly to the family member and was given the excuse that they had four kids and when they are out of school, they basically let them run wild. We tried to explain that the noise was far above what is acceptable and was at a sufficient level to cause headaches. The noise never subsided. I have nothing against kids living in the facilities, but the parents should understand they are responsible for their kids' behavior as they would be in an apartment. My family and I are paying the salaries of the parents who work here. We deserve to have peace and quiet for the amount being charged per night. Needless to say, it was not a very restful vacation.

While the coffee and orange juice were good, and the view overlooking Branson is excellent, this cannot make up for the fact that Bradford Inn has a lot of issues than can be remedied quite easily. I get the impression the owners are winding down their career as bed and breakfast owners and are now giving it a minimum effort to manage the place properly.

To reiterate, this is our final stay here. We will be finding another bed and breakfast to stay on future trips to the area. I would also strongly caution other people since there are some injury hazards as well as possible issues that could be...

I am they type of person who likes to get to the point so this review is basically bullet points. Room 27 The good Big room. Big TV. Very very clean. When you need something, like extra towels, they are very accommodating and very friendly. Cool deck. Big and comfortable bed.

The not so good: TV was big but was off to the side of the bed and did not swivel. Should have been on a swivel or place over the fire place. A/C was soooooo loud, even on low fan, you had to turn the TV volume up pretty high just to hear it. Also, you had to speak loudly to each other just to hear each other. It really was that loud. Shower was small and the shower head had tiny holes so the water felt like little needles poking you. Big jetted tub, which seems like a good, however, you could not use it because the hot water came out so slowly it would have taken over an hour to fill the tub enough to use the jets. The towels and wash clothes seemed like old hand me downs and nothing matched, this is a little thing but you would think they would match at least, also no hand towels. A lot of little things that needed fixing. For example, the towel rack was so loose that when I pulled a towel off, one end of the rack was so loose the bar just dropped out of the rack. The office shut down at 4:30, so if you needed something after 4:30, like we needed an extra blanket, you could not get it until the next day. In all fairness they did mention if something was urgent you could leave a message. I did not feel like an extra blanket was urgent. If the people around you were loud you could hear them, especially walking. Toward the end of our visit the people above us had children and they liked to run and run early in the morning. The floors did not have carpeting so it was very loud and booming. We noticed as the days went on we had more and more lady bugs invading our room. We had at least 30 in the room and I had to wrangle them in a plastic cup because my wife was not too thrilled with the prospect of bugs crawling on her while she slept. The cafe was over priced and the food was not really all that good.

Unfortunately we will not be staying here again. Hope this...

Pros: The location is fantastic if you're visiting Silver Dollar City. Decor in the room was minimalist and tasteful. We were provided with a large number of towels, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. ||Cons: There were blinds but no curtains so light still filtered in at night. The AC was incredibly loud. Night 1 we kept it on but it was so loud that it kept me up. I also woke with sinus issues, not sure if that was from the AC or from an allergen in the room. Night 2 we opted to sleep with the AC shut off due to the noise. The room seemed clean enough, but definitely not well swept/mopped or dusted. The biggest issue we experienced was insects. We caught and killed various types, along with 5 different types of spiders. One large spider was in our blankets on the bed after we'd been gone from the room on day 2!||Upon our return, I contacted the owner to share our experience and was thanked for alerting them, but there was no apology. While I didn't expect anything from them and still don't, I was disappointed that they didn't at least say, "we're sorry you found a spider in your bed." I'd thought that by staying somewhere small, and not at a major chain, maybe we'd have a different experience in terms of cleanliness and quality, especially with how good the reviews are, but I understand that it's hard to control pests. I do hope that they increase their pest control measures in the future as a spider bite could cause big issues for a guest. Two years ago we found spiders in the bathroom and ants in the main area of the room we stayed in then, so perhaps I should have expected this. However, I could never have expected we'd find the sheer number and variety that we were faced with. I do hope our experience was an isolated one, as I haven't seen any other reviews noting this problem. I wish this hadn't happened as we thought we'd finally found the perfect spot in Branson, however we will not be...

Fall in Branson feels like the perfect vacation 🍂 The Bradford Inn is one of the most incredible places to stay in Branson, and their on-site café Steamy Joe is my go-to breakfast spot. Cozy rooms, delicious food, and small town charm make this a must for your Branson getaway. Save this for your next Branson vacation ✨

Let me start by saying that we have been going to Branson for over 30 yrs multiple times a year and stayed at hotels, VRBO's and condo's in and around Branson. The Bradford Inn has a nice location overlooking parts of Branson and has a nice appearance on the outside. It is near Shepherd of the Hills and fairly close to Silver Dollar City. It has a wonderful Coffee Shop/Cafe called Steamy Joe's on site. But those things alone are not enough to get us to return. We stayed in room 15 and it was extremely sparse on amenities. There was a low hanging ceiling in the gable room with no TV, with a lot of wasted space in that part of the room. There was plenty of room for a table and chairs to sit around and eat take out but they opted for one leather like recliner that had a headrest that was worn through to the foam, rather unsanitary. There were no tissues and the bathroom was tiny with very little counter space. No microwave and no coffee maker. We came back to the room the first day to find that our room had not been serviced. The beds still unmade and no fresh towels. We expect this in a VRBO or condo but not when you stay in a hotel. Upon placing our reservation I never received a breakdown of expenses. Upon checkout I requested a statement and was told they would have to email it to me, which they did. Only then did I see there was a $35 cleaning fee. One of the gas fire pits didn't work. The whole place appears to be in need of a face lift and good cleaning. It appears they are letting this place just run on it's own. I know another reviewer had complained about this room and the response was that updates are done in Jan and Feb but there appears to not have been any updates to the carpet or furniture in many years. Maybe the other rooms are in better shape but based on room 15 we won't be going back.

We stayed at Bradford Inn this weekend. The buildings, rooms & views are beautiful. We love the two kitties that reside there! The property is very peaceful. We didn't have the chance to enjoy Steamy Joe's as it was so busy both mornings. The parking lot gets tricky to maneuver during the hours the cafe is open due to those dining at the cafe. I'm guessing by the sheer number of folks that were dining there, it must be really good! Just a thought, maybe offer a special for your guests to where they can meet in the game room with self serve muffins & coffee/juice etc. We didn't try the Jacuzzi in our room as the jets didn't appear clean. It is possible they were simply stained by the water, but we decided to not take a chance. Of course, it is that time of the year where ladybugs decide to seek refuge inside. We had two large groups of them hanging out in corners of our room. Our daughter discovered used cups under the bunk bed. We didn't try to retrieve them as we would have needed to move the bed to get them. The beds & pillows were comfy & we slept well. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for hosting us!
