Riverfront Retreat of the Ozarks — Hotel in Branson

We held our family reunion here for the first time this year. The facility was fantastic for a family get together for all ages! Everyone was enthusiastic to come back and we have already reserved for next year. We didn't go anywhere to see an attraction, this place is the attraction for a get together.

Things you should understand (in my opinion): There are 4 rooms on the main ground floor, on the large outside deck. The other 11 rooms are upstairs. Two stairs outside and one set inside from the meeting room (banquet hall ?) Bring most of what you want to consume unless you want to go get it. There is a Dollar General 4 minutes away; pizza 12 minutes away (Reeds Spring), groceries, plenty of eating out, Wal Mart, Hotel etc 20 minutes away (Branson West). Drive if you want to go out, we didn't want to leave so brought our food and drinks. It was mentioned it is a little rustic. Yes I agree, it's a river front lodge, and priced accordingly. No complaints from our group about the mattresses or pillows etc. There is no cable or Wi-Fi. One of our group needed to work on line one day and used a cell phone hot spot just fine. I think you don't come here to get on line, you come here to get off line lol. We had an issue, contacted the owner and he happily responded and repaired the issue right away. The seal around the air conditioner in one of the rooms wasn't sealed all the way and several night bugs came in. The owner assured me he would remedy this right away and I feel he truly wants his guests to enjoy their stay and I believe he will follow up. Yes this is on the river, in the country, there are bugs, epecially at night around the lights. The river temperature and level is dependent on mother nature. It was perfect when we was there in mid June. The kids especially loved the giant tire swing, the river, playing in the grassy area and roasting smores. The adults gathered around the smoker/grill when cooking outside, some inside, others on the deck or down to the river. Most sat outside by the fire pit after dark. 9.. Plenty of room to gather inside, outside on the deck, under the pavilian, around the fire pit, on the lawn or on the river bank. Just come gather with your family and friends....
