Y BRIDGE CANOE OUTFITTER James River — Hotel in Galena

We had a reservation at 9:30 this morning- we are camping at tomahawk campground - we have 10 children 6 adults and one 85 year old grandmother ... our put in time was 9:30 we had people coming from Springfield and we were waiting at our campsite at 9:30.... we called them many times and they told us they were running late- then they would be there in 20..... and it kept being pushed out! It is now 12:20 and we are driving over to the y float place to complain and see if we can even float! This has literally ruined our day and every time we talk to them it another excuse and run around... otherwise we would have driven over ourselves much earlier..... I am honestly dumbfounded at this service and I work in marketing in Branson.... I will never recommend to anyone and be sure to let them know of our experience....... we are headed there now- if they don’t make this right for me and my family this review will stay as it is.

We just got to the building I’m going to see if I can post photos - no one came to the door for about 5 min then a lady came out and acted so surprised that we were upset... we asked if they could just take us from there even though it seemed like a shady business she said they don’t take people from the shop......

She literally couldn’t even give us an explanation!

We called James river outfitters while in their parking lot and are heading over there to hopefully do a float with our family that is here from Springfield and California I’m so upset and disappointed do not use this business - I am shocked just shocked that they are even in business!!!!!!!!

I would like to update again: at aprox 2:30 ish a few hours after we had went to THEIR BUILDING they literally called us on the phone and told us they were at our campsite looking for us.....WHAT???? Our reservation was 9:30am..... we went and talked to I guess the owner at aprox 12:30ish and y’all are going to call us at 2:30 and act surprised that we weren’t at our campsite.... like it made no sense and I’m sorry they were definitely without a doubt tweekers...... do yourself and your family a HUGE favor and do not ruin your vacation by using this service..... I can not believe they are even still running......🤯

Another note: James River outfitters accommodated our family - we told them the situation and even though they were sold out they apparently went and got us 4 canoes and said they we figure out a way.... they made it work for us and took...

Planned a trip with my friends and out of state family to be put in at 10am. Arrived at 9:45. Got a call from one of the ladies there and she said there was one more group in front of us that had to be dropped off. Okay, cool. The man in the white bus said they would be right back. We waited 2 hours for them to come. Once I called at 12 I was told they had just got back and had to throw our raft on and would be on the way. We waited another 30min and still nothing. I called and asked what was going on and again, they "we're on the way." I let them know if they weren't there in the next 10minutes I was leaving. As soon as I got in my car to leave they finally showed up. The man in the white van stopped and asked if we were waiting on a raft and I let them know yes for 2 hours now. I then got YELLED at by the guy. Great* customer service. The lady driving the van came by and spoke with us, apologized for the behavior of the man in the other vehicle and got us taken care of. Once we got to the river at 1pm it was an okay float despite the fact that our friends had to go earlier (on their own tubes) and we didn't get to spend the day with them. I won't be back because the owner clearly doesn't care that his incompetent staff cannot handle things effectively. You'd make so much more money and would have the funds to get better things for your customers if you would run your...

Made reservations 3 months in advance, we were doing a two day float, camping overnight. We waited in the parking lot total for 3 and half hours we had 8 people in our group rented 3 canoes and had them shuttle 1 we brought. After an hour and a half a lady in a black van came by said it will be 15 to 20 min before she's back. Another two hours later she came back to get us. If everywhere else wasn't booked we would have left, we almost cancelled the entire trip that we had planned. So after she picked us up we discussed the price when we made reservations the price was 85 a canoe 25 for the shuttle, we asked for a discount since we wasted half the first day in the parking lot, she said we could have 5 off each canoe. Ok fine better than nothing. We get there pay her 260...80+80+80+20. She said woah guys that's way to much it's 80 for all three . We tried telling her it's was 80 a canoe but after she said no you didn't understand we said okay and set in. When we got to the pick up they were waiting for us on the bank and fist thing she said "you guys owe us more money" there were 4 other groups departing the first day all had to wait at least 2 hours.
