Staying at DuPont Yurts is a must.
We've stayed in Bridal Veil twice now, once in early spring, and once again in fall - both stays were perfect!
Being SO close to DuPont State Forest with numerous falls, hikes, mountain bike trails & east access to fishing makes this place a 100% sure fire bet for a great trip.
Brevard and Hendersonville are close, so shopping and dining are nearby too. And if you fancy more outdoor adventures, overlooks and fun you can head up to the Blue Ridge Parkway easily.
The bed was super comfortable, and having a TV available for a little veg time after a long hike is great too.
I'd recommend couples come check this place out, and for families there are other yurts with more beds available - but be sure to book ahead of time. The place is popular, and you'll understand why once you stay!
The yurt was clean, well stocked with the necessities for cooking, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors - and the in yurt laundry makes for an easy packing job since you can bring just what you need & wash your active wear. 😅 That also makes for a better unpacking experience when you get home.
Consider it glamping, but better. DuPont Yurts was the first place I ever stayed in this area, and it'll be a favorite forever!
Shout out to Sherry and Terry for creating a beautiful spot to connect with nature and experience...
Read moreDuPont Yurts and Campground was a GEM of a find! It is a quaint campground nestled in the woods near DuPont State Park. Sherry was beyond helpful and accomodating with our plans to stay in NC for 6 days. Due to an unexpected death of a friend we needed to arrive a day late. Sherry worked with us on that change and was so gracious. Then at the end of our trip we wanted to extend our stay for a night and she found us a pull through site that we could move to early where we had the whole day to explore. The campground is clean, quiet, and spacious. The sites were very level, making set up even in the dark an easy process. The bathhouses are brand new and gorgeous with all the accomodations needed. The campground itself is just miles from the beautiful High Falls and Triple Falls. The hike is worth it. The Canteen at the Yurts section of the campground was a nice little spot to stop after hiking or exploring complete with every flavor of ice cream and a large selection of craft beers and sodas, along with some simple food itesms. This campground is an easy drive to Hendersonville or Brevard. The perfect spot to enjoy mountain life. We HIGHLY recommend this...
Read moreWe couldn't have enjoyed our early January stay at Dupont Yurts any more. Before even getting into the accommodations, I can't speak highly enough about the owners. They are so personable, attentive, and professional. We called prior to booking and spoke with Sherry personally, and I knew after speaking with her we would be in good hands. We had a great time using the Bridal Veil yurt as our family's destination after long days hiking. We would spend the mornings hiking in Dupont State Forest (just a mile down the road), come back for a couple hours rest, and then hike the afternoons in Pisgah National Forest (only 15 minutes away). The yurt was very well furnished, extremely comfortable and cozy (even in January), and you can't beat the location if you like hiking. Sherry even came by one afternoon to check on us, as we had a minor question regarding the HVAC unit. The only thing more impressive than our stay at Dupont Yurts were the owners...they're top-notch! Can't wait to our next stay and a visit to the DuPont Kanteen located at the entrance....
