OQ Farm — Hotel in Bridgewater

We had the perfect wedding at beautiful OQ Farm. It’s a stunning property where we were able to have the entire wedding party stay onsite, which made the wedding weekend feel like summer camp! We took a dip in the river every day, saw the animals, and enjoyed long walks through the verdant farmland with views of Vermont’s green mountains! Just wow! The accommodations are great. Groomsmen got ready in the “refectory” and bridesmaids in the “manse” an old colonial farmhouse, which worked out perfectly. Also very nice spaces for photos. But the crown jewel is the ceremony location! Perched on an intimate hilltop with expansive views of rolling green hills. It was pure magic. We had about 200 guests seated up there. We then enjoyed cocktail hour by the farm animals, a tented reception in the riding ring, and an epic afterparty in the chapel. It was amazing to have all of the different events of the wedding day all onsite, but in different areas of the property which created a great “flow” for the day into night. OQ is a magical place that allowed us to bring our wedding vision to life far better that our wildest imagination. We ended up booking the entire property for Thurs - Sun of our wedding weekend, and the whole three days, it was ours to be with family and friends to celebrate. The accommodations are super comfortable and allow for a ton of flexibility on how you may want to manage your weekend. Not only is the venue itself so beautiful, working with Aileen was great. She was not only incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful in the planning, but she ensured that the execution of the weekend went seamlessly. Because we had so many people staying on the property (~35), we asked Aileen to help cater food for Sat during the day and Sunday brunch. She did so and it was easy to plan, so delicious, and did not break our budget. Aileen truly went above and beyond to bring our vision to life and we look forward to visiting OQ for years to come!!
