DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Let me tell you about our experience at Glacier Peaks Hotel & Casino. It was absolutely horrible. It started with us arriving at the hotel. There are stray feral dogs roaming the grounds. Once we checked in, we went to our room and as soon as we walked in, I had to use the restroom. I noticed that there was a pubic hair on the toilet. We proceeded to put our luggage away and sat on the beds. They are hard as a rock. Cheapest mattresses you can get. After we got settled, we decided to go get some food from the restaurant. The people that worked there were less than happy to be there and made it known. Once we received our food, it was mediocre at best. We went back to our room after dinner to relax and get settled for bed. It had been a long day of traveling. My family and I tried to settle in for the night, but the beds were so uncomfortable. The AC was on in the room when we arrived. It got a bit to cold in the room so I adjusted the thermostat. It did not work. It just kept getting colder and colder in the room. I then switched the panel to off and it did not shut off. It just kept running. I eventually had to unplug the whole unit from the power source to get it to shut off. As we were in bed, trying to sleep, we realized how thin the walls actually were. We heard and understood every word that our neighbor was having with someone in their room. It was not long before the upstairs neighbor started stomping around. All of this noise went until about 2am. At some point during the night, our neighbor to the left turned on their faucets and a high pitched whine started to come through the pipes into our room. This happened several times throughout the night. Needless to say, sleep was not on the docket for that night. The next day, after hardly any sleep, we got up and used the sink in the bathroom and discovered that the handle on the faucet was broken. When we checked out, I complained to the manager Beth Harwood. She seemed to be concerned about our issues and wrote down my complaints. I requested to receive a refund for half of our money. She pulled our info up and told me that because we booked through hotels.com, we would have to contact them and they would contact her. So, my wife contacted hotels.com and they seemed to be concerned about our stay. they tried to contact Beth multiple times over several days and received no response. I then emailed Beth reiterating our issues and let her know that hotels.com had been trying to contact her. Again, no response from her. So, finally today, I called and was able to speak to her regarding hotels.com trying to reach her. Beth then claimed that she did not receive an calls from them. I let Beth know that i would have hotels.com call her immediately to get this worked out. It was not long after this phone call with Beth, that I received a message from my wife that hotels.com did in fact speak to Beth and she authorized a refund of only $16.58. My wife then found out from hotels.com that it's the hotel that can and does authorize any kind of refund, so in other words, Beth lied to me. Needless to say, this was a horrible stay, with a horrible hotel and horrible customer service, with managers that lie to the customer.. This place is a freaking joke. Do not waste your money to stay at this place. I literally have had better stays at...
Read moreStayed here for four nights in early fall. As far as hotels go, I would rate this one as average. The rooms are comfortable enough however the walls are paper thin. I could hear people's conversations whenever someone was in the room next to me. One woman had a super annoying dog that barked constantly and I had to ask to change rooms. The girl at the counter was very sympathetic and changed my room immediately. The breakfast is actually pretty good. There was eggs, bacon or sausages and one day even had mini omelettes. There's also nice bagels, a waffle machine, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal and a few other things. The restaurant next door (inside the casino) is very basic and the food is very mediocre.
Browning is not a bad place to stay if you're planning on visiting Glacier National Park. There's a Subway nearby the hotel that you can use for good sandwiches. The town doesn't have much by way of nice restaurants but you do have cellular service and terrific views when driving towards the park, though it is a bit far. It's closer to Many Glacier and Two Medicine than West Glacier though.
Overall, I felt the hotel is not worth the cost per night (in terms of value), but it is in line with other accommodations in the area because of the proximity to Glacier National Park. This is probably still the best place you could stay in Browning and all together, you will likely find this a suitable...
Read moreI want to give this hotel five stars but I can't.
The price is more than I would expect to pay in an area like this. Especially with construction going on in the hotel.
When checking in they ask you to sign two documents, one for your car and the other explaining to you that the hotel is under construction and there may be noise all day. Some of the facilities are not available like the pool.
The rooms are really nice, large, clean, and new. The builders did a great job. But the people who outfitted the room made at least 3 major errors.
There is no bathtub, just a shower. There is a 6-in curb to get into the shower. The shower curtain rod is one of the bowed kind where the middle sticks out so the curtain doesn't touch you while you're in the shower. But the shower curtain is too short, or alternatively the curtain rod is installed too high. It does not meet the curb at the bottom so there's a giant gap and while you're taking a shower water can get all over the floor possibly flooding the bathroom.
They did not provide a do not disturb sign.
The fan on the HVAC unit is controlled by a thermostat on the wall. The fan has settings for low, high, and Auto. I tried all three settings - the fan speed does not change. If you're sitting at the desk it's blowing way too much air on to you and you can't avoid it unless you put something in front of the air conditioner it's...
