I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lynchburg KOA, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
The campground itself is well-maintained, with a beautiful lake located right at the front of the grounds, providing a scenic and peaceful atmosphere. Each site is equipped with a fire pit, which added to the camping experience, and the full hookups (electric, water, and sewer) were a huge convenience.
The campground is about a 30-minute drive off of Route 29, and there’s a dollar store and gas station just 10 minutes away, which came in handy. However, I recommend coming fully prepared with supplies, as the front office only has a limited selection.
One of the highlights of the campground is the pool, which is perfect for cooling off during the spring and summer months. Just keep in mind that it’s only open during these seasons. There’s also ample parking available if you have more than one vehicle, although you may find the space on your site a bit tight for additional parking.
Overall, I highly recommend the Lynchburg KOA site for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable camping experience. Whether you’re there for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, this KOA has everything you need to make your trip a...

Fenced doggy park and playground for the kids. This campground gets my recommendation and if we travel this way again, the Lynchburg KOA will definitely be high...
Read moreTent camped for two nights here. There was an electric hook up and a water spigot, which was nice. Fire-ring with cooking grate on top, and firewood is available from the koa. Caution: There is a massive gravel hill which was difficult for my partner to navigate on a motorcycle; I think a car would have been fine. The bathhouse has 4 individual unisex bathrooms complete with one person sized...
