Vistas De La Bahia — Hotel in Cabo Rojo

This is an ok place to stay, if management would pay more attention to details could be a more than average place. the apartment we stayed at was clean and check in was good. we followed the instructions sent and all went well. bathroom had a shelf that was about to fall, ended up tightening kitchen table (the same was about to fall on us) troubleshooted master bath toilet the same was constantly running, water heater when wife took shower indicated their was no hot water when checked apparently water heater had tripped breaker (after it got working, when in use breaker would hum) The apartment has a stove top and microwave, no cookware nor plates or cups we were aware of this so we had taken ours (they do not specify this at no point). balconies could use a small table along with at least 2 chairs (it would of been great to have morning coffee and breakfast while enjoying the excellent ocean view. We also had a power outage (apartment side, room building had electricity) for about 3 1/2 hours they have various power generators which none liked in. security do not know if are there everyday on New Years eve the tests below us on the first floor where loud way after all had received the new year, they were using the pool (it states pool is up until 8pm) smoking weed and having a ball. I really did not mind until one of the rooms above reeked with reefer smoke this because the windows do not seal complete they stay open therefore the smoke from below entered the room also your ac escapes because of this. the place is pet friendly but it states up to 30 pound dogs, so we make arrangement for our lab to stay at his vet. some guests arrive with their pitfall definitely more than the stated 30 pounds. all these small details are due to the lack of attention to basic details if corrected the place would be a more than average stay. all in all we got to spent New Years with all together as a family and had a good time together. Our son and his girlfriends family stayed at the main building and indicated their was no hot water and that would of preferred to pay the extra for the apartments for they are better...

The bed was HARD AS A ROCK, Very uncomfortable, the pillows and sheets were thin as paper. The Bathroom was very small, the towels were also very small and rough feeling, cheap material, no electrical outlet for like a hair blower or flat iron either. One electrical outlet available in the whole room. Very weak shower water pressure and the water took a while to heat up. No coffee maker, just a small fridge. Balcony has no furniture so there’s no point of having a balcony. You can hear all the pool commotion and the roads traffic from the room. If you get to the room late, finding parking is very tight. The wifi signal was very weak, could not use.The pool area was nice but did not use the facility. There’s also a security guard at night which is nice. The property and room were clean with the exception of the bathroom fan, it was very old and super dirty like it had been years since it was dusted. It was 7 very long uncomfortable nights here! Unless upgrades and changes are made, I will not be coming back...

When booking, the reservation described the room as ocean view and balcony. You can see the ocean but not from the room and the room was on the 1st floor so the balcony was basically a small space between the room and a rail that is next to the parked cars. You can hear everything going on outside, both from the hallway and the "balcony" ( could also hear people dragging furniture upstairs) . The door to the room had a huge crack and there was also a big gap between the bolt and strike plate. One can easily open the door, even if locked, by pushing hard enough or using something to push the bolt from the outside. The Direct Tv in the room lost it signal every few minutes. One of the towels that was in the room was full of holes ( looked worn out ) and we had to ask for a replacement. At arrival we learned that they only clean the room if your stay is for 3 nights or more. The room looked dated and in need of a renovation. There is not a positive thing to say other than the staff at the front desk...
