Country Inn Motel — Hotel in Caledonia

I was apprehensive after reading the other review, but we needed a place to stay while visiting my in laws, who are in an assisted living facility. This motel was near their residence, and was inexpensive. I'd seen it for years when I lived in the area, but had never stopped here.

I called the desk from Georgia and reserved a room for several nights. We arrived to check in after 12 hours on the road, and were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the facility is dated - I first saw it in 1969. The room is good-sized and very clean. It had a kitchenette, so we're able to breakfast here and prepare other meals also. There is a microwave and 2 small refrigerators. There's a 32" color flat screen TV. I had no trouble hooking up to the wi-fi (I'm on it now). The furniture's old and inexpensive, but adequate. It's convenient to grocery shopping and eating places (there's a small bar/restaurant next door - we'll probably try it this evening).

While my in-laws are still here, we'll be making trips back, and I'd have no qualms about booking Country Inn...

I would avoid staying at this motel at all cost. The owners are very rude and have to respect for their customers. I stayed here for a week due to working out of town and it was a unpleasant stay to say the least. They would only come and clean the room about every three days and would never leave enough towels or hand clothes. I came back from work one day dirty and tired. There had been no room service and I when I approached the front desk the owners said that you could only get towels in the morning and that they had none left. I.E they were just too lazy to walk down to the washroom and get me more. Last but not least they would come in the room everyday to turn your heat off while you're gone but not to clean, and once walked in on my girlfriend without even knocking. Also they advertise free WiFi but it is very spotty at best, and when asked the owner to look into it for me, he simply replies, "no". Please save yourself the frustration and the agony and...

My stay at the Country Inn Motel was AMAZING! Rooms were spotless, location was great- right in the middle of a bunch of great local restaurants and coffee shops, and the service was so great!
