I am hesitant to post a review because this place is a gem and I don't want others to start booking this particular cabin. I want it all to myself! :-D

This review is specifically for the A-Frame cabin and the property in general during a summertime getaway for two...

First, the location of the property is perfect for the quintessential Vermont experience. On one side you have the quaint, sleepy town of Jeffersonville and the other you have Stowe. You are also within short driving distance of some excellent hiking and biking trails that scream Vermont wilderness. (I wouldn't recommend biking the roads that the property is located off of) The property itself is well laid out with a beautiful pond in the middle, excellent views from almost anywhere and an easily accessible office/general store. The office/general store has almost everything you want or forgot and - surprisingly - it wasn't just normal stuff upcharged for convenience, it was good quality wares. Finally, the service was friendly and attentive.

The A-Frame cabin was exactly what we were hoping for - a small house with modern conveniences, but privacy and the feeling of being out in the Green Mountains. Inside was immaculate, with a lovely kitchen area, own washer and dryer, fantastic bathrooms and multiple comfortable sleeping rooms. It comes with a smart thermostat which was an excellent touch for precision comfort. The view of the mountains was incredible, especially during sunset. This cabin is perfect for a private romantic stay or small group of family/friends.

There was one negative. Since I am giving this place five stars, I won't hesitate to publically call them out on this one area of improvement because its important. The deck - arguably the star of this particular cabin - was not as immaculate or welcoming as the inside. Upon arrival, there was lots of bird excrement - due to some birds taking nest in the rafters above - as well as general stains on the outdoor furnture and a grill that was dirty enough to deter us from grilling. I like to camp, so normally I have no problem being right in the middle of nature, but the contrast in upkeep between the immediate outdoor area and indoor was jarring.

Nevertheless, this place is very close to perfection for those wanting a rustic but comfortable vacation and I see no reason to consider other places to stay next time I want to visit the area. I could honestly believe this place being twice as good during...

After spending a weekend at the Sterling Ridge Log Cabin Resort it definitely exceeded our expectations. Initially driving up to the location we were wondering what our lodging was going to look like? Beyond the dirt gravel road, past the pasture where several cows were grazing we finally arrived. As we entered the main reception area we were kindly greeted by the staff who pleasantly explained everything we needed to know about our accommodations and gave us suggestions as to where we could go to dine out. As we drove up to our cabin instantly my wife and I were impressed from the exterior. However, the biggest surprise was seeing what the cabin would look like from the inside. Since I had done my research and read other guest reviews my expectations were moderate but once we entered the cabin it felt like home. The cabin not only looked amazing but smelt great. All rooms were very clean and we had all the amenities as described prior to booking. The kitchen by far was my favorite because it was fully stocked with everything we needed. To top it off the wine basket that I had ordered for our 1st year anniversary was nicely presented on the kitchen table along with branded Sterling Ridge wine glasses and a bottle of local wine. My wife and I couldn't get over the large bathtub which we thoroughly enjoyed and of course the fire place which definitely set the mood. the view from our cabin was incredible which motivated us to wake up early enough to see the hazed sky amidst the trees. Even though this trip was a way for us to disconnect from our usual routine we were very much wanting to share the experience with our friends on social media, yet the wifi connection wasn't reliable, that is the only negative comment I would have to make. My wife and I got to walk the grounds and sit for a moment by the pond and admire the view and on our very last night we got a fire going outside our cabin, supplied with wood and kindling from reception and made smores. Overall, our experience at Sterling Ridge was amazing. My wife and I will forever remember this spot as we celebrated our first year of marriage. We couldn't have picked a better time or a better place. Thank you to the staff at Sterling Ridge and we would gladly recommend this...

Sterling Ridge Resort Was the Heart of my daughters Wedding Weekend!|We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Sterling Ridge Resort in Jeffersonville, Vermont for our wedding weekend—and it was truly the perfect home base for our celebration. While our ceremony and reception were held at another nearby venue, Sterling Ridge is where the bride, groom, families, and many of our guests stayed—and looking back, we couldn’t have chosen a better place.|The resort is nestled in the most peaceful, scenic corner of Vermont, surrounded by mountains, trees, and fresh air. The log cabins were stunning—rustic yet elegant, spacious, impeccably clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Each one felt private and cozy, with fireplaces, porches, and views that made you want to stay forever.|What made Sterling Ridge so special wasn’t just the setting—it was the way it brought everyone together. Having our closest family and friends in one place turned the weekend into more than a wedding—it became a retreat. We shared morning coffee on the porches, group breakfasts, evening bonfires, and late-night laughs under the stars. Guests are still talking about how relaxing and beautiful it was, and how much they enjoyed the extra time to connect.|The staff at Sterling Ridge were incredible—welcoming, organized, and genuinely kind. They helped coordinate cabin check-ins for our guests, offered great local recommendations, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the weekend.|If you're planning a wedding in the area, Sterling Ridge Resort is the place to stay. It gave us and our guests a peaceful, scenic, and truly memorable experience that perfectly complemented our celebration. We are so grateful to the team for their hospitality and can’t wait to return for an anniversary getaway!|With love and...

Sterling Ridge Resort is hands down the best place to stay in the area. Its central location is unbeatable—just 5 minutes from Jeffersonville town center, 5 minutes from The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch (where we just got married!), and only about 10 minutes to Smugglers’ Notch Resort. Our experience was a 10/10 from start to finish. We had been working with Sterling Ridge for nearly a year in preparation for our wedding, and they exceeded every expectation. Our guests were thrilled with their stays. Each cabin was peaceful and secluded, yet still close enough for everyone to walk over, hang out, and enjoy time together. The fire pits were such a cozy, memorable touch. We stayed in a one-bedroom cabin and it was absolutely lovely—romantic, clean, and perfectly tucked away. Our bridal party stayed in the Mansfield House, which made for the perfect central hub for everyone to gather. My husband’s siblings were in the Wilderness Cabin (10/10), the Pond House was home to some of our family (they raved about it—another 10/10), the A-Frame was a hit (10/10), and my aunt, uncle, and cousins stayed in the Ridge View Cabin—also 10/10. The team at Sterling Ridge went above and beyond. They helped with welcome gift bags, accommodated early check-ins, and made the entire process seamless. The morning after the wedding, guest after guest came up to us saying how incredible the resort was and that we have to come back again together someday. We would return in a heartbeat—and we definitely will!

Had a positively wonderful experience at Sterling Ridge for my wedding weekend in February. My husband and I stayed in the Field and Stream cabin along with our siblings. It was so cozy and welcoming! There was plenty of room for everyone, and the beds were comfy. The master suite had a whirlpool tub, which was such a romantic touch. My groom and his party got ready here before the ceremony, (see photos by Sabin Gratz Photography) and it was just the perfect backdrop. The next morning my husband and I used the kitchen to host our immediate family for brunch! It is a fully stocked kitchen, and we had no troubles at all cooking for about 15 people! A lot of our guests and other family stayed at Sterling Ridge that weekend as well, and they all had a great time. We definitely plan on coming back perhaps for an anniversary trip!

Property not maintained Upon arrival on 2/23/24 to stay in Ridgeview cabin. The entrance to the cabin was a solid sheet of ice. The deck had a shovel and bucket of salt, however to get to it you had to traverse an ice. Needless to say I fell and their response was so sorry but I haven’t been out to check that cabin!!! WAIT! WHAT! Isn’t that you job? Cabin had no information about how to light fireplace (that was not a wood burning fireplace) No internet information Rules stated you had to take your garbage at the end of your stay to the dumpster on property. So my question is what services do you offer that you list yourself as a RESORT? No housekeeping No property maintenance Clean up after yourself garbage, wash the dishes Don’t waste your money you get more to An airb&b or a real resort in Stowe!
