Seven Rivers Lodge — Hotel in Carlsbad

This is a new VIP style Target Lodging with large single rooms

The whole camp consist of Queen size beds, large storage to hang clothes with selves and drawers. A large mini fridge and large microwave oven with GFI plugs with USB connections. It has an actual desk and sitting chair, along with plush Lazy-boy style recliner with 42” LCD TV with network cable channels (not direct TV), and free WiFi. Individual thermostat that’s programmable to your ideal temperature! Plus, your own private large bathroom and shower!

Galley or Cafeteria area is large too. They have a soda, tea, coffee, “icee”, ice cream, and orange-juice machines, with a salad bar station, cold-cut and cold-salad station, soup & chili staton, and has the option of ordering steaks, grilled chicken, or fish like all the other Target (Signor) camps.

They have the “Frac Grill” in another building where you can get hot dogs, sliders, hot wings, and fries made to order!

They have two laundry areas. One, in it’s own building, and the other laundry area attached to rec room with billiards, foosball, ping-pong tables, game room, movie theater and weight and fitness rooms.

As always, the staff are hard working, out-going, friendly...

I've been here 2.5 months. I don't rotate, I only go home to Houston for short periods of time. Food is okay. It's gone down quite a bit from when I spent time in Camp Wapasu in Canada several years ago. The staff and overall service has been outstanding.

Update: As always, the people here are great. No complaints at all. However, you really need to do something about the food and / or the cooks. I have been made sick at least twice since my initial review. In fact, I don't even eat it anymore....at all. I have spoken with several other people who have gotten sick lately as well, which makes me wonder how many might have and did not realize it's the food. You need to do...

they have an app called Target Lodge and you could access the food menu. the Food Menue never reflects what's actually served that day. I was looking forward to try the Turkey bacon as advertised on the app but their breakfast is all pork and not non pork friendly. . the rooms are definitely comfy and spacious. however, been here for two weeks straight and they were never cleaned. kitchen staff is not friendly at all and appear to be in a bad mood all the time. they do this strange thing where the food is covered in the tray and they ask you what you want. you don't even know what's in the food tray. are you supposed to guess what each tray has ? when you ask you get a...
