Love this camp sight. Decent showers and bathroom. Each sight has a grill/fire pit. Water access throughout. Electric at every sight or primitive camping area. Cabins available and sights w beautiful views to reserve. And almost every sight has some view of the lake. Beautiful lake. Lots of trails to hidden little beaches and coves. Quiet, peaceful. But lots of kids for my kids to play with. The hosts were very nice and informative when we first arrived. Two tents per sight. And they also have lots of activities every weekend. Oh and they also have camping all year. My husband and my kids and I loved it!

We camped at Eldon Hazlet State Park on our way to Colorado and Utah. The park is conveniently located just off of Route 70 about an hour East of St. Louis. Our campsite was on the beautiful Carlyle Lake. The campgrounds were quiet and very clean and well kept. Our site was spacious with electric hook ups, a level gravel pad, picnic table and fire ring. We really enjoyed our stay after a long days travel.

Such a beautiful, clean place to go on a hike. My family and I love to walk through the trails with our RC cars and spend time as a family. Would recommend this park!

This place is a joke. John lay the guy that we witnessed screaming at the top of his voice at the elderly camphosts that work their butts off there and make sure the place is OK at all times, the guy that does absolutely nothing but drive around with a female yelling at people, nitpicking and being prejudice against long term and extended stay good paying customers that don't bother a soul, the guy that says he cNt stand long term campers that also kicks people out that already paid and not give or refund their money back which I believe is a strong arming crime, that guy needs terminated and with no retirement benefits. If he was gone that place...

I have been camping here for the past 3 years and it is great. The paved roads are great for the kids to ride bikes, and the playgrounds are close to either side, making them easy to get to. I've experienced no issues with on-site power to my camper, or filling the water tanks.

The only issue is that the bugs seem to get worse each year. I camped recently, 2024, and could barely sit outside without hundreds of bugs swarming me and my family. I get that being in the woods camping brings some bugs to the yard, but this was the worst I have ever experienced.

I will still continue to camp here, but with a lot more big...

Site supervisor has a power complex and feels it's ok to down talk people and not conduct his property by the same rules for everyone. Was evicted at 253pm when check out was clearly 3pm threaten my family with the police after we had paid for 2 more nights. Refusing to give our $ back Plainly let me know that people who use the facility for long term camping are a frustration to him "long-term campers are about to come to an end I know all about long term campers" . I'm sure the corp that own this property wouldn't want their name backing a rude person.. I was discriminated against for reasons I don't have...
