We stayed for 10 days. The over all appearance is nice. When I called to book our site I explained our unit measures 42 ft 11 inches and she assured me they could accommodate units of that size. The site was barely big enough for our rv. We had to park our truck perpendicular to our unit. When you pull a big unit like ours, the truck pulling it will not be small either. We were told if we had an additional vehicle we would need to park it on the side of the city street in the middle of the resort. However, not only did our neighbor have two trucks, they had a boat parked in one of the empty sites. Several sites had vehicles on both ends of their sites. A person backed their motorhome into the front of our fifthwheel doing damage to our unit. THAT IS BECAUSE THE LAYOUT OF THE RESORT IS TOO TIGHT. OF COURSE THE RESORT WAS ONLY CONCERNED THAT SOMETHING BELONGING TO THEM MIGHT BE DAMAGED. Once they learned only our unit was damaged they were not getting involved. There are signs everywhere about fines if you don't clean up after your pet. But, in the dog run there were piles of dog poop everywhere. So, from our experience, you CAN PARK MORE THAN ONE VEHICLE ON A SITE EVEN IF THEY DON'T FIT AND APPARENTLY YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A FIDO FINE EITHER. It did rain excessively and the pool was closed for 2-3 days due to a chemical imbalance. ||Water pressure is seriously low. They have some type of regulator on each site and they post that they check every day and if you are found to have removed it (which we didn't) there is another fine. ||There is barely room to walk around your unit due to the landscaping. Rose bushes are not a great choice for the tight sites. There is a very small patio with a small picnic table. ||||The beach is across the street. The water is murky and at times it looks dirty with a black silt like material. We did try fishing as we had read it is a great location for surf fishing. We only caught a few catfish. The best attribute was the huge presence of dolphins. We saw them every day. At times they were just a few feet from the shore and pods of 10-15. We love seeing wild dolphins and this place didn't disappoint. ||||If you want pretty water St. George Island is a short drive away. We saw dolphins there as well. ||||Restaurants are few in the immediate area. We ate at The Blue Parrot on SGI and it was great. ||Honestly, I thought about taking the cancellation fee and leaving after a few days but we really didn't want the hassle of packing up and moving and having to set up again. We are seniors so we decided to stick it out. Everyone we met complained about the size of the sites and how they really should limit to units under 40 ft. or better yet limit to 36 ft and under. ||Live and learn is part of the rv experience. We lived, got damaged and now we have to deal with that mess when we get home. So what we learned is we won't go back there with...

I would like to start out with this, we RV camp for at least three months out of the year and have stayed at hundreds of RV parks.

Carrabelle Beach Rv Resort.

Pros,

Location is amazing, right across from the public beach. Plenty of food and drink options in close proximity. Cool town, would certainly recommend staying in Carrabelle.

Cons,

The park looks NOTHING like the website. Let’s start with the sites themselves. The are disgusting, overgrown with weeds and ants. Cracked concrete, just all around awful grounds keeping. We paid for a deluxe pull through site, it was supposed to have a grill, it didn’t, although the exact same pull through site next to us did. When I asked the employee at the check in shack why that was, her response was, you really should have a grill but you don’t… she was extremely rude and couldn’t have cared less about anything.

The store on-site closes very early, 5pm. This means no ice or emergency supplies and there is no stores within thirty minutes if need be.

We also rented a cottage for our parents. The cottage was nice, parking is terribly confusing. I stopped a young man who was driving a cart in the park, clearly an employee and asked him where my parents should park. He said, I don’t work here… driving off. The next day the same guy was working behind the counter handling check in’s.

No host on site, the pool was disgusting. Couldn’t even see the bottom. The tiki huts are falling apart and our picnic table was so broken we couldn’t sit on it.

We speak with several other campers on site who said they had been coming to Carrabelle Beach RV resort for many years and historically it was stunning. Every single one of them said it is now awful, some described it as trash and deplorable. Every person said they would never return, some even left early without even asking for money back in return.

I would never EVER recommend...

Giving this place two stars. When we arrived we were put across the road from the RV resort in what was essentially an RV park. No bathrooms or any other amenities unless you walk across the road to the main resort area. The sites there are also uncomfortably close when compared with the main resort area(36 inches between sites). The sites are not site specific so where you are placed is a toss up. I feel this is very deceitful. If they are going to place you across the street in an area with less room and zero amenities than they need to be a lot more transparent about it when you book. Other resorts in that area also have a split park, but aknowledge this up front and you reserve for that specific side and site. The public beach nearby was great and the stars I have given them are due to their proximity. It was a short walk to the beach... I think was closer than the bathrooms or pool to our site. The bathrooms were ok...3 stalls and 3showers for the whole place (about a 100 sites). I would not call them clean but they were clean enough to get by. If you are going for any other feature than the beach I would check the parks 10-15 miles east or west (there are several close by). If all you are looking for is proximity to the public beach (with plenty of parking) than this would be ok. I would also like to add that there was a sign up requiring I wear a mask inside to check in....yet the employees working behind the counter did not. In summary I would say that I would NOT recommend here and doubt if I...

We just finished the most amazing family vacation at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort. This trip was everything we wanted it to be. Low key, relaxation, not super touristy, and just fun. CBRV is a really nice, well kept resort ran by nice folks. It's quiet and peaceful. They have a very nice pool with some covered tiki bar type gazebos and plenty of chairs. All sites are full hook-up and we loved having palm trees on our site. The sites are paved and spacious enough. The loops are a little tight for longer rigs but not impossible to get around, just take it slow and be careful. The camp store has the basics and a good selection of beer and wine. You're not far from the town of Carrabelle if you need to run to the grocery store. And right across the street is the beautiful Carrabelle Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. It's called Florida's Forgotten Coast for a reason and we loved every bit of it. Nothing commercial and very little development. The scenic drive over to St. George Island is gorgeous and the island and state park is a must. Go ahead and check out the lighthouse while you're there too. You'll find a good brewery and pizza and other food about 10 minutes down the road in Eastpoint. There's also a lot of history in the area in regards to WWII and D-Day training we didn't know about. We would absolutely return here and recommend it to anyone!

We are in love with this place! Of all the campground destinations we considered, I'm glad we chose Carrabelle Beach RV Resort. The campground is very well kept, clean and the staff and fellow campers are very nice. We pull a 19ft pull behind camper and stayed in site #66. It was easy for us to back into and we had plenty of space to move around and spread out as needed. The campground stays pretty quiet. They have trash pickup twice a day which was very convenient. We used their bath-houses for showering and they are kept very clean and they were very nice. We hung out in their activities area and played a couple games that were provided and also used their coin laundry which I can find no complaints about. There is a public beach directly across the street which is very clean, not very crowded and easily accessible. We also very much enjoyed the swimming pool area!

Great Location, Great Park This was night 10 of our 13 night journey from Wisconsin to Florida and back. Sites are extremely clean and easy access for our 35' 5th wheel. (We had a pull through site on the western portion). Laundry is excellent. Kids loved the pool. Proximity to white sand beach is excellent (although the beach is in a bay near a river outflow so the water isn't ocean blue clear. Garbage pickup. Only warning is I would picture any rig over 40' would have troubles here navigating. We watched a dual axle toy hauler attempting to navigate and it was extremely tight for them. There were plenty of big Class A's and 5th wheels in the park but something to take note of when planning a trip. WiFi was decent for what I needed (Trip planning). Overall we had a pleasant experience. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
