This is a campground is a gem! It’s everything that we value as a family: great location, access to Sebago Lake, Brandy Pond, and Long Lake, quiet, great internet access, clean beautiful pool, fantastic management who are very attentive to our needs, and a slip for our boat what else could we ask for! I am super happy with this place, its quiet, has big lots, all the hookups (sewer, electric, cable, and wifi) and the price is fantastic. Also the camping spirit here is phenomenal. Our site was very private, shady, and quiet! Crooked River is so much nicer than the Songo River, just gorgeous, hardly any traffic, uncrowded, clean, wild and scenic, easy access to the Songo Locks, Sebago State Park, and beautiful Sebago Lake! Another nice thing about this place is the bathrooms and there are three large private shower rooms complete with a private sink and changing area in both the men’s and ladies room. The showers are free. Also important is the Laundry building which has coin operated washers/dryers and a waiting room complete with a couch and books if you care to wait for your laundry. They also have great organized kayak trips on the river and you can rent kayaks to explore on your own. This is going to be our summer place from now on! Thank you Crooked...
Read moreWe live 30 mins from Crooked River Campground. I googled where to rent a kayak, and this lovely place popped up, so we decided to give it a try. I am so happy we did! As soon as we got there I called the number and Brian explained what we needed to do. We met him down by the river and he could not have been more polite and accommodating. He made the process so simple and stress free. We were 2 adults and 2 kids so we rented 2 double kayaks. The whole process took less than 5 minutes and we were heading down the Crooked river. The paddling was easy and the views were just so beautiful! It took us a little over and hour to get to the locks where we were able to stop and eat lunch at a picnic table. We got to see all the boats going through the locks, which was neat! The 2 gentleman managing the locks were super nice and answered questions we had. We could have kept going towards the sand bar which was another hour away, but decided to head back for the day. The way back took a tad more effort against the current, but nothing too strenuous. Overall I would highly recommend renting kayaks from the Crooked River Campground. It was a fabulous day on the river! Thank you Brian for everything and best of luck on your new adventure...
Read moreSebago’s Campground is hands-down one of the best places I’ve stayed, period. The setting is beautiful, quiet, and perfect for actually slowing down and enjoying life. But what really sets this place apart are the owners — they’re some of the friendliest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met, and they make you feel like you’re not just a guest, but part of the family.
I came here to reconnect with my veteran brothers — guys I hadn’t seen in almost 30 years — and this was the perfect spot for it. Sitting around, swapping stories, laughing until our sides hurt, and just being able to relax together after all these years… that’s something money can’t buy. The campground gave us exactly what we needed: a peaceful, comfortable space to feel like ourselves again.
If you’re looking for a place where you can breathe, recharge, and maybe even reconnect with people who mean the world to you, Sebago’s Campground is it. This place will always hold a special memory...
