We had the best time fishing on this lake! And then we walked around at the store, which included a fantastic restaurant with amazing views. They had such unique gifts and beautiful decorations for sale, too. Spent the afternoon there, and the campground was super clean and beautiful trees keeping it cool while 80+ out. We can’t wait to go back and we plan on staying for a couple of weeks next time. Loved the restaurant and the friendly staff! The food was, not only a great presentation, but melt in your mouth delicious! Chicken was tender and moist and grilled to perfection. The wrap was the best I’ve eaten! Go have a wonderful afternoon today!!

This is our 5th year coming to the Cass Lake area. It has taken 5 years to get to this resort. To our surprise it was worth the wait!! The staff were the most nicest people yet to date. They were helpful and answered questions with a smile. The restaurant was great, the arcade, bathrooms, bathhouses, store was very clean. Even the fish house smells like lemon pine sol 😱. They have nice individual slips for your water toys. All in all I recommend staying here. They have many accomodation options! Thanks for the memories of our favorite lake!

Our group had a a great time camping! Our RV site was close to the pool(extra $), bath house, and a small park for the kids. Some of the sites are tight and close quarters, but they do offer larger pull through sites. The gift shop/store was full of clothing and souvenirs to buy, and was also attached to the restaurant. The beach/swimming area was a wonderful relief during our stay as well.

This was an interesting stay. The cabin itself was nice and spacious. The staff we had no issues with. Most were very friendly. Theres just certain things you expect when staying somewhere and paying the rates that were paid. I still chuckle that the kitchen had bowls, plates, silverware, pot and pan. But, there are no towels. No soap and shampoo. The cabin you must clean(im on vacation, not what i call vacation if working) Then garbage you must put out at the road by 10. Being a nightowl, means i have to get up to catch the time. The biggest issue and reason not 4 stars was the absolutely disgusting water that has such a strong odor it was debatable each day as to bathe or not. Because it left a stink on you. Luckily we had bought 2 30 pack waters as there is no way id drink that water. You couldnt pay me to drink that. Not just the foul smell, but, also had a yellow tint to it. I get covid probably didnt help last year being unused, but, by now that shouldnt be an issue. Had an issue with toilet handle so fixed it, it happens no big deal. But the smell in that tank nearly had me throwing up. When i say this water is bad, i mean BAD, BAD. Worst water ever type bad. Which i believe could pertain to the cabin we stayed in specifically. Because when doing laundry by the office, didnt smell on clothes thankfully because the stank left after showering was strong enough. Also we had to go buy our own showerhead as the one in this cabin was terrible. Unfortunately, it had to be thrown out once home because that water smell still followed with it. It was that strong. And no my water at home doesnt smell. Also with laundry, there.was another one we found out just before leaving. No signs anywhere. Spent a bit of time finding the first. A cheap homemade sign would work. Also be careful outside as there are falling acorns that dont feel the greatest that fall from the.giant trees around the cabins. Not sure in other spots if they have same iasue. First night i thought someone was throwing them at me there were so many.

Then there is the people of Cass Lake itself. This in no way was how treated at the resort. I even lived up that way before.and used to go to the Palace casino and never treated badly. That though was 25 years ago. Cass Lake itself is much angrier than i ever remembered it. Many mistake me for half native. But, even that was not enough to curb the hatred seen by some from Cass Lake area. Obviously i dont know they live there specifically, but, it reminded me more of Red Lake 25 years ago. I always talked highly of Cass Lake, I wont bash them completely, i will though say its not the Cass Lake of 25 years ago and the way a few treated my wife, i can humbly say Cass Lake is a no for me from here on out. Which means, i would pass on another stay at stony point as the people of the town or surrounding area just arent the same. I get times have changed a bit. But, this was not the good feel id always had there before....

We rented cabin 3 which had a nice view of the lake, playground, etc. but it smelled so bad we could hardly stand it (like someone had smoked in there for decades, in combination with other smells we couldn't identify). Ironically there was a no smoking sign on the wall We had every window and sliding door open to try to air it out .IIt also wasn't very clean but my standards are pretty high. The base of the toilet hadn't been wiped down in a long long time, there was someone else's hair on the shower wall, etc. This was a special occasion to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday so we decided to look past these issues and just enjoy ourselves. When we reserved this cabin, the woman at the resort said it was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and I told her it was just my husband and I and we just wanted a lakeview and full kitchen. She said they'd close off that 3rd bedroom for our stay. The website and email confirmation show that all cabins include deck, lawn chairs, table, picnic table, fire ring and grill. On the 2nd day, we both woke up from a nap as we heard a man and child's voices loud and clear. At one point my husband saw them looking in through the screen door. The resort had rented out our 3rd bedroom to this family of 4! That bedroom is on the other side of our livingroom couch & the walls are very thin so we heard their conversations. That 3rd bedroom has a bathroom that backs up to the only bedroom on our first floor, right behind our heads (again; thin walls...) AND the only door to get into this 3rd bedroom was on our deck. We were floored that the resort would rent out this bedroom without letting us know it was even a possibility. That 3rd bedroom was being rented as a motel room which doesn't come with deck, grill, firepit etc. With COVID going on, I searched high and low for a place where we could social distance and get away from it all. There was no way we could share this deck with a family of 4 and be 6 feet away from each other. Besides the fact that we're assuming their kids would want to use our firepit too? My husband called the front desk and they offered to bring that family their own firepit which wasn't enough since we'd still be sharing a deck. And while they didn't seem to understand our anger and frustration with the situation, they did let us out of the rental and only kept our security deposit of $250. This was Friday afternoon around 4:00 and was a big disappointment. Of course we couldn't stay here as the cabin smelled too bad to hang out inside and we came to enjoy the lake views from the deck. Thank goodness my husband was able to find us another cabin to rent for the weekend, about 15 min. away at Break on the Lake, which was...

Called first week of April to book a camper spot for a weekend to try the place out. Lady was friendly on the phone when booking so I had been looking forward to the trip all spring and early summer. When we arrived we headed to check in, pulling a big camper into a packed small parking lot is not ideal. Walked in to check in and received no info about amenities or how the pool costs extra ($20 bucks for a family for 1 day?!?!!!!) After, we found our site packed in with the seasonals, we weren't pleased but ok. We went to launch our boat and pull it into our reserved dock, nope, someone was using our dock while dining at the restaurant. No biggie just had to wait a bit to dock. Next day after tooling around on the lake we got stranded after finding ourselves out of gas, our fuel gauge apparently wasn't working. We got towed back in by a fellow boater. We beached it and my husband went to see if they had a gas can to use. My husband was turned away saying nope they don't have any (i definitely don't believe that) and said the older guy wasn't friendly or helpful and could care less. A seasonal owner overheard and offered to let us use his gas can to get some fuel into our boat so we could get it down the canal. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers! Obviously we should have had our own packed and with us, but we are rookies and had to learn a lesson. We definitely did that weekend, and decided this campground isn't the one we would ever seasonal at or camp at again. 50 bucks a night next to the highway road noise, never again! Their young staff were friendly and slightly helpful if they knew (little training not their fault) it was the older crabby people, maybe the owners idk?, who made it...
