The higher ratings must be older. Staff was very nice. Well the one and only person working since yesterday (poor guy). The rooms were grimy (dirty feeling) and starting to get run down.
We checked in later in the evening and the hotel was full. Front desk attendant was very nice and stayed extremely busy taking care of everything. We got to the room and it was musky and stale. That should have been our first sign.
We found the floors hasn’t been vacuumed, there was a pizza box with half eaten pizza left in the closet, and one of our towels wasn’t washed and hung up like a fresh one. The room never lost the humidity throughout the night and I noticed parts of the room falling apart.
We went down to breakfast and the same front desk attendant was still working running around trying to keep up. The pancake machine kept running out because they only had bread and muffins set out next to some cereal. They didn’t have hot eggs, sausage, or bacon like the normal breakfast spread. It was pretty disappointing.
I would not recommend staying here if you’re driving thru. I’m a loyal IHG member and this was one of the lower end stays I’ve had over the past 12 years if full time travel I’ve been doing. Stay down the street at the new holiday inn or...
Read moreUnder the COVID-19 circumstances the hotel did the best they could so the staff should be applauded. The biggest issue that needs to be addressed asap for this and all hotels is the smoking area outside!!!!! We know one person can ruin for everyone but smokers spit-again not all but all it takes is one. The smoking area was not far from the entrance and by a main walkway. Not only do we not want to smell smoke but now we are walking in the path where they spit on the walk into the hotel. We are walking thru this and passing this throughout the hotel areas, hallways and rooms. This is another way viruses spread and now we touch our shoes to take them off or put them back on! Please IHG-address this thru your corporation to relocate smoking areas to areas where no others walk thru or smell. The hotel has been remodeled and bedroom areas are updated with the exception of the bathtub shower area-the remodel was greatly missed. It still looks bad regardless of new fixtures or not. Wi-Fi was not good in room and when front desk was called, it connected to their phone so it was ok-that was their test to run on it and suggested I try connecting my laptop in the hallway??? Not great troubleshooting. I am a rewards member and just giving an...
Read moreVisiting my niece with my 77yr old mom. She fell outside of sheel’s & landed on her face (her head bounced up 3times) & fractured her nose, had to have 7 stitches in her nose, & horrible road rash on her forehead, nose & knees. My niece called every where trying to find a motel. The staff went beyond helping my mother to get comfortable in the handicapped room. Checked on us before we went to bed (didn’t get out of the hospital till 9pm)& brought her extra blanket’s (I like it cold.) let us stay an hour later because mom wasn’t able to move around very fast. They had people call in that day & the front desk had to clean rooms & they did such a good job & still took the time out to make sure we were okay! The manager’s the very next morning we’re out standing!! Mom didn’t want anyone to see her & I was able to bring breakfast to her in the room & kept it open a little longer for me to get a waffle for myself. Most definitely will stay here when we come back to visit my niece! THANK YOU FOR MAKING...
