Great suburban park on the South side of Cedar Falls near the industrial park with paved trails looping around the bigger of the two Prairie Lakes, and along two sides of the smaller lake. Many benches along the paved trails provide opportunity to take a break from walking, running, riding, skiing etc, or just to watch the nature and enjoy the peaceful lakes. Many fishermen utilize both lakes to cast their lines in the warmer months and ice fishing in the winter. Kayakers can often be seen on the larger lake as well. Ample parking, some benches, a shelter, two docks for kayaks or canoes, and pit toilets. The toilets aren't well maintained, but they're better than nothing. Decent bike/jogging trail, with a little bike maintenance post where there are some general tools anyone can use if they need a quick fix. There are a lot of geese, and they poop everywhere like geese do. No swimming, although the water probably wouldn't be great for it anyways, there are a lot of weeds in the water. Good place to go if you want to use some kind of wake-less boat, and catch some small fish, or go for a jog/bike ride. Not what I would consider a picnic type...

Give the air conditioner a break and get some fresh air...
