DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ignore the review about renting to homeless people those are work crews for various companies apparently some people do not realize that actual CREWS of workers ex: electrician, tech, linemen, construction crews are booked into motels and hotels by companies for out of town jobs ! Ours was Was a work/vacation, We were there 9 days, A lovely small older location, has been updated, Rooms are EXTREMELY CLEAN, Desk people were super friendly and helpful, they keep it quiet after 9 p.m. which we deeply appreciate, no issues with safety or people loitering in the parking lot at ALL, Felt safe enough to sit outside very late at night and watch the stars and traffic, close to gas stations (4), a subway nextdoor, a Bojangles nextdoor, another restaurant across the street, a Mexican restaurant and a china wok within walking distance, a few other restaurants just 1/2 mile away. Service was EXCEPTIONAL from the desk to housekeeping ! The pool is CLEAN, AND WELL KEPT, Plenty of parking, not far from the I-77 interstate 1/4 mile at the most, the breakfast offerings were the usual waffles, cereal, 2% milk, toast, raisin bread, a few apples, coffee, o.j., apple juice. From 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., would like to see a snack machine but they have a soda & water machine outside the office door by the ice machine and there's a convince store nextdoor that stays open till about 11 p.m. and a Quick Trip station diagonal across the road. Will definitely send friends and family to this Days in and WILL be staying here again...
Read moreThe lady at the desk was very friendly, but this was by far the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed at. We have a pet...a very clean, non-shedding pet...and was assigned a pet room. It had stains all over the couch, on both sides of the pillow. Arms and back of couch was dirty.--disgusting. Used the semi clean bedspread to cover the couch in order to place our luggage there. The filthiest sofa I have ever seen....even worse than the worst I've seen at the street set out for trash. There was also a desk chair that had foot prints on the seat. The dirt on back of chair could be brushed off. When struck with hand, dust came flying out. Paint on wall above bed was chipped. Drawers were stuck closed on chest of drawers. Bad odor when entering, but we were very late and used Lysol spray in order to remove odor. Curtains did not close all the way. All furniture was dusty and edges of chest was sticky with built up dirt. Lampshade by bed cracked--broken. THIS ROOM HAS BEEN ABUSED AND NEGLECTED. Reported it to the front desk lady and she "made a note." They should have paid us to stay there. Believe this Inn is under new management. Hope they get their act together. The price was reasonable if clean. Based on this experience, we will pass up any Days Inn for another place...
Read moreI was driving home from a wedding in Florida. My husband was sick and I became too tired to safely continue driving. The Days Inn near my home is reputable and fairly nice so we pulled in and booked a room at the next exit.It was after midnight. I was exhausted. Upon unlocking the door, the room smelled stale and not clean. I'm a southern girl so I kicked off my shoes. I quickly put them back on as the carpet felt "sticky." The beds were clean and comfortable. The shower, bathrooms and sink area were ran and had minimal toiletries available. The hair dryer worked great. There was mold or mildew on the bathroom ceiling tiles. The metal strips holding the drop ceiling in place were rusty. The room was $54 dollars for the night. No bells or whistles. It was enough for what we had to have. I wouldn't reccomend this particular motel. For $75 per night we stayed at the Pensacola Grand Hotel whe in Florida with plush everything, room services and plenty of amenities. The $20 extra dollars a night difference in our stay and...
