Sabor Latino Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Chester

Pulled off 77 with our travel trailer in tow not knowing what to expect since someone said it was scary but we know good food sometimes comes in odd shopping centers so we gave it a try. It is a restaurant more than bar. Yes, the entrance to the little shopping can be made from a road right inside a gas station but the shopping center is very nice, parking lot for our camper was easy in and out turning, clean and there is an IGA and dental practice. Winner in our book. Lots of local folks there as well at lunch. My husband ordered chorizo hard shell taco’s that were delicious! Crispy, fresh cilantro, onion and chorizo just right not too spice but very flavorful. I wanted some Latin comfort food so I had a nice big quesadilla with chicken and white cheese; chicken was shredded, flavorful and moist, cheese well yummy, soft tortilla looked homemade but was fresh and hot. The food was good, but the service was terrible. A co-worker and I stopped in for dinner after a 12hr shift (we work in EMS). We hadn't had anything to eat all day and we were hungry. We ordered a large queso to start, which came out right away, but it was at least 20mins before we got our chips and salsa. So by the time we could eat it, the queso was cold.

We had several colleagues (firefighters) come in after us, who were seated, received their meals, paid and left before we ever got our food.

When our meals finally arrived, we were missing items and it took a long time to get the attention of wait staff to bring out the rest of our order. And after finishing our meal, it took over an hour for us to get the attention of any wait staff to bring us the check.

They used to have great customer service. But the past 4 or 5 times I have been there I have had similar issues with...

So, I stumbled upon this restaurant 2 years ago picking up some roofing materials for a project, lucky for me I've had to come back a few times. :

Everytime I have visited the service has been fantastic and the food also fantastic, tonight no different. Jenna was serving tonight and she is AWESOME!!

Tonight I had the super chimichanga and it was great, as were the salsa's (they have a really good green sauce and a few others), their salsa is as good as anyone's.

Beer prices are also excellent, $3 for 16oz, $5 for 24oz, and $6 for 32oz and they have 6 on tap, 4 Mexican beers and 2 domestic on this visit. They also have a full bar.

If I lived close by I'd be here 2-3...
