The Walker Mansion Inn — Hotel in Chester

Our date night this week was enjoyed at the Walker Mansion Coventry Tea Garden for a true English treat on Westwood. Mike had the pastie (past-ie) and was the size of a calzone and filled with ground meat full of flavor and flaky crust. I enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie served in the cast iron pan it was baked in. Ground meat mixture with mashed potato topping covered in cheddar. These were so amazingly delicious and plentiful. The meal started with the absolute best chicken noodle soup I have ever tasted. Not usually my favorite.

Next the main entree and lastly an English Trifle. Very light and airy cake with fruit and fresh whipped cream, not coolwhip.

The tea was also very good, we drank 2 pots of the Christmas tea.

Kathy gave excellent personal attention to us along with a party of 13 and several other tables at the same time.

Haven't ever stayed in one of their air b&b rooms yet but my husband and I go to their Valentines Day dinners that you can reserve a spot and have a special dinner with ur sweetheart. Tho it not being V-day tonight they still had a special random dinner that was available this evening. Was excited to learn a week ago that they were having it. Hubby and I were all for it. For the atmosphere for noce and cozy the hubby & wife who own & run the mention Inn restaurant do all the cooking and the making of the dishes all themselves. Such a hard working couple & who are just out of this world such nice, wonderful people oh and don't wanna forget their handsome young hard working grandson who's always there to give them a helping hand.(bless his little heart). We visited good friends in Westwood and decided to stay over. They recommended Walker Mansion bed and breakfast. Rob and his lovely wife are awesome folks.

It was Mother's Day Eve, and they gave us a choice of time to rise for breakfast. Robs wife was so sweet, on Mothers Day making us a delicious breakfast! Bacon, egg, and from scratch, absolutely delicious blueberry pancakes! Breakfast topped off with good coffee and cold orange juice.

Rooms have internet and Netflix, no local television, and are clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return!
