Beautiful new hotel with lovely decorations. Edit: Stay away from ada rooms 102 until they fix ut. Or you'll have a horrible stay. No one has reached out to me about this. The front desk guy in the morning was terrible. Orginal: The breakfast is the best we've seen at a hotel in az. Wish I got photos. Over all the hotel is 5 stars 🌟 . But it was poorly built sadly. I better inspection should of been done before opening to guests. Front desk is very very kind. 5 stars for them. I feel really bad writing this because other than the few bad things mentioned its a great hotel. Over all sadly very poorly built. Only 2 ada rooms. We had the queen room. Very beautiful room. The shower no matter how careful you were the water went everywhere. The drains didn't work correctly. Which is very dangerous. Luckily i use these anti slip sandals that I use as shower shoes too. You can see in the photos, Water damage from other guests. Which means this water issue has been going on for a while and hasn't been fixed. We would fo switched rooms but I needed the safety bars. Even in my own home I have safety bars. Sorry I'm disabled. Not my choice.
Also we could hear the person above us like they were an elephant. Very loud stomp stomp stomp. So sadly I was woken up at 6am. Didn't get to bed until midnight. So very little rest in this lovely hotel. I could hear everything in the room above. The toliet flushing, shower running. Didn't they check this when building this? I have a sever health condition sadly. I go to mayo clinic and honor health in scottsdale. Sleep is extremely important for me for my health.
Other than the poorly built ada shower and the very bad sound proofing lack there of, it's a lovely very beautiful clean hotel. Oh and our room didn't have shampoo and the conditioner was empty too. My husband had to ask for some at the front desk. Maybe a better check list is a good idea too? And noticed as we tried to make coffee, an old coffee pod was left inside and when we moved the coffee maker, old coffee from the Over flow tank leaked. I cleaned it up. The person who was meant to clean this room, missed a lot of things. 😔
Bed is comfy but pillows are awful too. Best western plus so far has the best pillows. We stayed at 4 different hotels this trip around sedona, and Flagstaff staff. Hope this info helps someone.
We went here because it looked beautiful in the photos. We wanted something different. Lesson leaned. Just stay with hilton, Marriott and best western adien and plus. We are not fussy either. We love to go camping when my health allows it. But its a lot of money to stay here with such low quality craftsmanship in the hotel.
We always take photos and videos of places before we settle in and before we check out too. It wont let me upload the video of the loud people above us. But...
Read moreI wish we would have had a better experience at Taawaki Inn. The building and its surroundings are a striking example of sustainable construction, which is clear to even a lay person upon entry to the lobby. The deliberate minimalist environment is also quite interesting, and is a welcome departure from most standard hotels of this classification. ||Where it fell short was the lack of attention to detail by the staff, and the lack of any amenities, aside from bathrobes in the rooms. ||The check in took nearly 45 minutes, even arriving at 3:30 PM. The hotel was pretty much completely empty. Empty parking lot, and only two other couples also trying to check in. There was only one front desk staff member, and he was clearly overwhelmed. I asked for a room facing east (looking out towards Sedona and the Tuzigoot National monument). He kept insisting that he had us down for room 226 (even rooms face the other way). Apparently he even gave our room keys to another person, whom he had to chase down to get them back. I finally asked to speak with the manager, a woman who proceeded to argue with me that they couldn’t move us, nor could they make an adjustment on the rate due to other online rates being advertised much lower, and the restaurant being closed. She finally relented and gave us room 215, which faced east and had the view we were looking for. ||In my opinion, a hotel that is clearly trying to cater to a crowd that appreciates attempts at sustainability should not make their guests check in experience so highly stressful. After the stressful check in, I was actually glad we were only staying one night. ||The hotel has a restaurant, but it was closed. I don’t know when it was going to reopen, but we paid over $200 for a room that didn’t include breakfast or any other amenities, |aside from bathrobes. There is no pool, no hot tub, and really not much of anything else besides EV chargers and a few tables with fire pits on the eastern side. ||The hotel is only about five minutes to Cottonwood, which we ended up finding numerous high quality dining options. Check out Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Restaurant, as a great choice. ||All in all, I think this hotel needs to lower its rates until it can have adequate staff and a working restaurant. I also suggest them to adjust the rigidity of assigning rooms to guest before...
Read more+JMJ First visit today, Tuesday, 8.13.2024, for Breakfast. This newly established Inn located between Old Town Cottonwood and Clarkdale is a must visit if for no other reason than to be enveloped in a serene and visually beautiful location on the face of the earth. Upon entering the Lobby area, was greeted my a very pleasant young man, Logan, the Front Desk Manager. He shared a number of informative items to introduce me to the amenities of the Inn: the floor plan, Menu featuring the day's specials, availability to tour one of the rooms, and mentioned the availability of a conference room. After our little introductory chat, he encouraged me to enter the dining room, which is located just off the Lobby area. This is a quaint but open space with several elegantly dressed tables and chairs. There is so much that I can share, but let me close this rather lengthy review my saying that staff members I met, Logan, Carolyn the waitress, Chef Ryan, Lorie, and an unnamed gentleman were ABSOLUTELY gracious, welcoming, and made this introvert feel very comfortable in their establishment. The Breakfast Burrito, with a side of pico de gallo was one the yummiest I have ever eaten. The coffee was brewed just right for my taste, strong. To conclude my meal, I ordered the blue corn muffin. First time ever, and I was very pleased with its texture and taste. Not overly sweet and perfect with my coffee. I highly recommend a stop in for a tour (they have a Museum too!), Breakfast, or perhaps to sip a cup of available liquids while seated on the Patio which over looks the natural beauty of the expansive...
