Didn't camp here, just used the day use area and beach. Absolutely gorgeous and the beach is soft sand, not rocky. It was crowded but everywhere is now. The swimming area is roped off from boaters and was a little over 5' at it's deepest. You can walk out to the anchored dock from the beach. Water in redfish is chilly but feels great and the lake is crystal clear. There are vault toilets close by. This was an amazing place to spend the day! There was a lot of room on the beach. I recommend a beach cart, since the parking lot was quite a ways from the car. Not too far, unless you're bringing a ton of stuff... Which we did. 😂 The water is super cold, and the wind picks up in the afternoon...
