This was another property which I selected just because of it's location and by the Lake Okeechobee of the area before driving back down towards the Miami area. Another factor was the "reasonable" points required compared to other hotels or even paid prices during current pandemic and Spring Break - where other properties were asking for crazy rates.||||Location||The hotel is situation in the town centre (or rather on the main road of Clewiston, the Sugar Capital). Close to the hotel there were some restaurants - though becareful that lots of the places are closed foro dinner in this small town. Down the street there's a taqueria down the road which served some really good Mexican food with friendly service and reasonable price. ||||Other than that, there's really not much for the usual tourist attractions. I would say this is more of a off the beaten path type of tourist. There are some small towns close by, but outside of that, nothing too much to do.||||Check In||I arrived around lunch time at the property and as expected there was no one, so I was assisted immediately and managed to get a room to check in. In general the check-in agent was friendly, however I did notice she was a trainee, and was not offered the usual Elite welcome gift. I did not bother to ask about it and was off to my room within 5 mins of arriving at the property. ||||Room||The room was spacious and like the rest of the hotel very new. It was well furnished and more or less with the same amenities as the newer Hampton Inn's. ||||There was the usual long desk where the TV is located with drawers. The coffee/tea making items were also located here. There was a fridge and microwave available also in the room.||||Sleep quality was good - there was minimal external noise (I am not sure how bad it would be if the room faced the main road - I did noticed that traffic was low during the night time). The AC unit was luckily on the quiet side on low fan and did keep the room temperature as set. ||||Internet speed was stable and sufficieint, the TV besides the usual cable channels, did have some streaming service (if I remember correctly). ||||Bathroom size was spacious with a walk in shower area. Toileteries were the usual types available at Hampton Inns. The water pressure and temperature was good. Since this was a new property, all furnishing was in top condition.||||Pool||The pool situation in front of the hotel is only accesible by going outside - and towels are obtained via the front desk. The water temperature despite the soarching heat, was surprisingly on the cold side (it did not help when I used it, the wind was also blowing quite strong - luckily of warm air). ||||Breakfast||The breakfast was back to the usual buffet style, although for the hot items, guests will still be served by the breakfast room attendant. The spread and quality was as good as it gets for a Hampton inn.||||Overall||All in all, not just because it was a new property, but this was one of the better Hampton Inn's that I've stayed in the US. The hotel seemed to be there mainly for a lot of guests that looks like they were working with the ongoing construction works at various spots around the lake and most probably the large sugar industry of the area. ||||I for one will certainly recommend this property if you need a place to stay in the area, the staff were in general friendly and the facilities provided by the hotel was as good as it gets for a...

Trying this again as my first review was deleted. Look, this is the best you’ll get in Clewiston, FL. It’s moderately clean (I did find several hairs that were…not mine, on the comforter as well as in the bathroom. This is good news if you are later thrown into the swamp or something, hopefully the local PD will be able to tell you were there at least.) The gym is top notch, the desk clerk and breakfast server were both very friendly, plenty of hot coffee and typical Hampton breakfast spread.

However, the bed was hard as a rock. In addition, the AC would just NOT TURN OFF. The fan runs continuously. You can turn off the actual AC function and the fan just continues to run at a slightly lower decibel level. I travel fairly extensively for work (Hilton Diamond) and finally called around 11:30pm to ask for a different room and was told both that “all the AC units make that noise” and that they were sold out so I couldn’t have a new room anyway.

Bring earplugs, a few Lysol wipes, work out in that amazing gym until you are too tired to care, and then do your best to pass out until the microwave eggs are ready the...

This was my first time at this location and upon arrival it seemed very nice and well put together. I had an issue with possible bed bugs that wasn't addressed properly. It could have been handled better had management properly communicated. Check your room upon arrival.

Update.......

Management has chosen to respond to my post. It is noted, although the Terminix report concluded no bugs were in my room ( which I would suspect it would say ). The report only checked four others rooms with a dead roach in one and ants in another. Im not sure how they came to the conclusion that 86 rooms were checked. The report I reviewed only had four rooms on it.

I filed a complaint with the BBB as a result. My complaint to the BBB could have easily been avoided had management handled my situation differently.

After reading some of the reviews, I can agree that one of their front end managers is rude and very unprofessional. Quality customer services goes a long way. And this establishment could use a crash...

Horrendous. The check in process was an absolute mess. the front desk would not allow me to charge the card on file for my room even though the payment was made AND PROCESSED prior to my check-in. We arrived in the room to wet sheets which is completely unacceptable and unsanitary as that is how mold develops on top of that there were dirty fingerprints on the sheets and pillowcases. i am VERY unhappy with my stay as of right now there are wet black hairs around the sink and i know they are not mine because i have short pink hair. i went to open the handsoap and it was already used and still wet. they repackaged the used soap. i am beyond disgusted and this service is absolutely deplorable. they had my brother-in-law, his wife and I sleeping in a booth in the lobby when we already had a room reserved that I payed for in full. frankly this experience has been degrading. I am beyond disgusted with how my family and i were treated.

Let me tell you. I’m generally a loner. This trip is with friends…. friends whom cell phones keep ringing. Listen it’s ringing now. I can’t recapture sleep after I have awakened and despite me starting Nutrisystem… I go downstairs for eggs (and biscuits and gravy) and there is Carlton on the cafeteria line and he made my WHOLE morning. He treated me with such care and concern and served me attentively as a parent would that wished to send you on your day fortified with assurance that you are cared about. This man is wonderful and should teach classes!

I’m here at the Hampton Inn in Clewiston, Florida and can I just say how impressed I am at the quality of this hotel? Everything is so beautiful and clean and the people are accommodating, friendly and from what I can hear knowledgeable of how everything goes; well, as far as the service and hotel stays. I didn’t get a chance to see a room (oddly enough) but I did see its surroundings and from what I did see you won’t regret anything. So, come on by, book a room, and enjoy your stay! I’m sure you will be pleased.
