Okay, seriously - Home2 Suites by Hilton in Clovis, NM, is a secret that people should know about. *Plenty of parking. *Easy access to front desk. *AWESOME public spaces: the extensive layout to hangout in the dining area, or the overflow dining area, or the privacy booths around the corner from the front desk. *Plenty of outlets, should someone use the public spaces and need to recharge electronics. *THREE coffee stations, and you could choose to use the paper cups if you're bringing the coffee back to your room, or leaving the hotel - but you could enjoy coffee in a ceramic cup while eating the breakfast on ceramic plates. *Outside lounge area with a lovely seating area and fire pit *PET FRIENDLY
Hilton -- whoever designed this particular location needs a raise. A bonus. Recognition for their taste and design, especially the idea to use ceramic mugs and plates. Thank you for not treating your clientele like McDonald's chattel.
Breakfast is the usual fare, but still hot and fresh, and delicious. No grass strip for pets, except the thorny area towards the other hotel. The only bummer from our two stays. QUIET rooms. Our first stay (headed west), we were on the second floor next to the stairs. Because we enjoyed our first stay, we made it a point to stay when we headed east, towards home. Second stay, we were on the first floor, right next to the Exit door - and didn't hear anyone come in or go out. Refreshing, if still a bit weak, water pressure in the shower Thoughtful room and bathroom layout
Robert and Anthony were at the front desk when we checked out during our first stay. They were both helpful, friendly, and professional.
I couldn't rave more about Home2 Suites by Hilton in Clovis, NM, if I tried!...
Read moreSo on the second night of our stay at approx 10 pm there was a group of people who began to roll in decorations food drinks and dj equipment into the ballroom/ meeting room in the lobby area. I was told by several of the people who were setting up that it was a bday party. Well at approx 3:30 am we were awakened by a large group of people right outside of our window fighting. This ruckus continued on for about 40 minutes. My wife went down to the main desk to ask for security to go outside and a smaller young girl did respond. As my wife was asking for help she realized the party was still going on at 3 am. The worker shorty came back inside the building where she informed us through our door that the people outside were calming down. However it never did calm. I called Portals police and asked for them to respond. The following morning while we were loading my truck which happened to be parked where the group was fighting, I found some unexpended ammunition on the ground. I had walked this area several times in two days and did not see these there till after the fight. This is where I realized although a gun was not used it was present. This type of behavior right outside our window put my family and I and other patrons of your business at risk. I reported this to the front desk at checkout and was informed that the party was only supposed to be a small gathering I was apologized to by morning staff. My question to you is How management allow a party to START after 10 pm and continue on past 3 am? And how was there not police called earlier by staff. How can you assure that this will never happen again to...
Read moreIt’s past midnight and I’ve gotten ZERO rest because this place is a circus. Nobody is ever at the front desk — I’ve dealt with this 4–5 times and I’ve only stayed here twice. Every time, the staff is ‘in training’ somewhere else instead of helping actual paying guests. They don’t answer the phone either. Tonight I stood there for over 10 minutes, called multiple times, and got nothing. This has already happened twice in less than an hour since I checked in.
The laundry situation is just as pathetic. Two washers and two dryers TOTAL for two hotels. Both taken, and they only take quarters — as if anyone is walking around with rolls of coins in 2025. I came here to do laundry and sleep, and I’ve managed to do neither.
One poor girl is left to run around fixing doors, hiding in the back for “training,” and somehow managing the entire front desk at the same time. That’s not her fault — it’s a massive failure of management. This place is run like a joke. Guests pay real money to stay here, and we’re treated like an afterthought. Absolute disgrace.
