Course wasn’t bad, but the Marshal was a COMPLETE NUISANCE . Our organization paid $2400 to host a fundraiser/tournament and our foursome was harassed on multiple occasions by him. We finished in 4hrs and 10min, and the only time we slowed down was to support the business and fundraising by purchasing refreshments and mulligans. Both times the card reader was slow. He even falsely accused us of damaging a home, but was a coward and sent his boss. I’ve been here for 9 years, and I have another 15 years till retirement. My job is to provide continuity and advise all Leadership and new personnel. Based on my experience, for the remainder of my tenure, I will be certain to advise anyone against utilizing this establishment and I will CERTAINLY advise against any future organizational events. Your response is inaccurate. There were 16 teams and we started on Hole 16 with NO ONE in front of us so while it may have appeared we were 2 holes behind, that is a false statement. Fantastic golf course and even better customer service. My daughter took me golfing for Father's Day. We made a special request to Carlos in the Pro Shop. We recently lost my wife's father, a retired marine, a candidate for the best man to ever live, and an avid golfer. We asked to spend some time on the last hole and celebrate his life. Carlos allowed my wife to borrow a golf cart and meet my daughter and I on the last hole. We celebrated John Thompson, and remembered many of his kind qualities. It was very special - but Carlos made it happen. Not only did he let me wife borrow a golf car to meet us, he held the sprinklers from coming on to allow us to celebrate John. He also offered several other kind gestures to help us celebrate the man we love. Thanks to Carlos, we all have a special memory and a golf course we consider Best in Class. The special customer service that Carlos provides makes this my favorite course. Avoid at all costs. Marshalls are absolutely clueless on the rules of a course. The past 3 times I have played there I have been told some form of hurry along even though my group was playing faster than the club's posted play pace. Basically if you are under 40, you're looked at as an annoyance. Extremely short "manager" was rude and unprofessional each time I have had the displeasure of speaking with him. This is a course benefitting off the fact that people cannot play on base and they are the only other place to play in town. When the base course gets fixed, this place will hopefully go back to being the inviting establishment it used to be. Go play Farwell. Go play the Rawls in Lubbock. You'll be treated a million times better. Also, no clue how they conned people to become "members" which just means they are paying to belong to a PUBLIC course that is unable to maintain their fairways.
