I don't even want to put a rating on this but it won't let me post without it. Do not ever stay at the Budget Saver Motel for weekly stays, the people are terrible and the place to stay is even worse. My husband and I stayed for about 3 weeks because we didn't have anywhere else to go, we also could not lose out on the money we paid for our stay, I have had issues with breathing and a really sore throat due to the black mold, we complained to management and they wouldn't give us a refund and told us there was not enough black mold to affect us. I'm going to have to call huge BS on that, we had to throw away food because of the moisture in the room, a makeup bag that grew mold on it because of being under the sink, I also lost a teddy bear my husband gave me because it fell on the floor for not long at all and was soaked and started growing mold on it, there was visual of the black mold in one spot in the bathroom when you went but when the housekeepers came in, it magically disappeared, I took pictures of what I could find, condensation on the window, and it always smelled like black mold, the fridge was also going out so it smelled awful, at times we even got the hint of the smell of urine. The layout of the place is awful and the shower is hardly big enough to fit an adult in it, our toilet leaked from the side and the bathroom was always wet(floor and walls) and never dried. I also had medication stolen from me(mind you I have spinal arthritis), and when we told the manager about it, he laughed... yes he laughed at my husband, (just to put a background the manager's wife and daughter are the housekeepers and the only people who have access to our room), they never cleaned and only gave us new towels, but the rules are you have to let housekeeping in even though they only give towels, toilet paper, and garbage liners, and most times not even that. Today when we finally checked out, my husband told them about the medication and black mold again, and the project manager was standing there, they chuckled and didn't say one thing about it. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I will be going further in complaining since the situation could not even be resolved by the highest of management. This place needs to be reported to the...

This is a dishonest business and I want to warn others. I made reservation for a room, by cellphone at noon August 4th, while traveling West on I-90. The person who took the reservation said they closed the office at 10PM, but that was no problem as our projected arrival time was before 8PM. At 7PM we were blocked in traffic on I-90 due to the head-on accident that had occurred hours earlier. As soon as we could get cell signal, 8PM, we notified the motel of our predicament. They again said the front office closed at 10PM. Westbound traffic had just begun to crawl at 8:30 and we had cell signal, so we again called to motel. We were rudely told they closed at 10PM, that several others with reservations had also called, but there was no way to get a room after 10PM and no possibility of a key being left out.
By 11:30PM we were able to get to Kellogg and take a room there. When we got our credit card bill and saw we had been charged for a room, we called the motel and were told their policy was to charge if reservations weren't cancelled 24 hours before, and that the email they sent explained that. There was never an email or text and nothing said about that when we made the reservation, or we would not have made the reservation.
On the motel website there is nothing said about the 24 hour ahead cancellation policy, BUT there is a note there is a bell that can be rung for late arrivals!
I sent a certified letter of appeal to the motel on August 18, citing the unusual circumstances including that their staff made no mention of the 24 hour cancellation policy. It was received by a person at the business on August 20. However, since I got no response, I called the motel this morning and asked about the status. The woman who answered the phone said if I hadn't heard anything, then the decision had been made to deny my appeal and it was final. When I asked about other appeal options she got very rude and loud, so I eventually hung up as she ranted.

Read moreReaching out to the locals and the new comers. Recently had a bad experience at the budget saver as my boyfriend and I stayed there for a week since our apartment in town was not available yet for a couple weeks. We ended up thinking we needed to stay another week, so we paid a couple days in advance for another week.
An hour later my apartment called and said we could move in early. We tell budget inn an hour later after paying for the next week we won't be needing that extra week anymore. All of a sudden the manager says sorry I can't refund you right now as it is in the owners hands to give you the refund. (May I add this place said we could only pay cash only, so if it's cash they could of easily gave us the cash back since only an hour had passed, and that same day the manager said that someone already booked our room for the following week). We ended up checking out a day early of the original week we stayed and the manager said he spoke with the owner and things were looking good and we should get our money back soon by mail.
It's been almost 2 weeks now and we still haven't seen our refund back or got a response from the owner!! The managers keeps saying oh we can't do anything the owner hasn't responded yet. I'm thinking "Ummmm this is super shady and can not believe that they took our money like this". I will update this review if and when we get our money back, if not we will definitely be making sure to let everyone know in town the update! We are really hoping the owners actually have a good heart and give us our money back since it's the right...
