They tried to say we stole a blanket when we had our own comforters. In the truck we had our own furry blankets they had thin little blankets. Well my son spilled apple juice our 1 st morning we were staying 2 nights, so our first morning he stripped his bed put everything in the hallway for the cleaning ladies. He had to go up front and ask for a blanket all she brought was sheets. Well also the pool was supposed to be heated I asked the worker about it he said they had been having problems he did not know what was going on it was down the previous week then on top of that we left ok I have been with choice for many many years our family is in the gold member tier. Well guess what happened after we left hahhaaa I was last as always in the shower as my son and husband were walking out they were talking about how I was spraying my hair oil bc I took out my extensions out so yes I sprayed constant oil so guess what after we left I went into the store had a pizza made coffee the hotel called they said we stole the blanket that we put in the hallway of Daivis to be washed what a joke right! Then on top of that listen, the pool was NOT heated so I had to hang the clothes up to dry well the heater was right under the window I turned the heat all the way up well the guys got hot soooooo, we tried to open the window that way we could get a kool breeze in while the 2 trunks and my bekini were drying I had to hang them from the windowsill over the heater like the clothes iron whatever else was heave Enough to hold them from the windowsill so guess what else they accused us of after the blanket SMOKING, they found cigarettes outside the window that we could not even get open lol. Jokes on them and they charged me a LOT of money this place is a joke honestly I have been with choice years never had a smoking room in any of the years I have used them I use them atleast once or twice a month just to let my kids out the house and go swimming so I call choice they said they would speak to the manager tell me why after the worker not the manager called me yelling about the blanket and saying he found cigarette butts outside my window I said I had clothes hanging so that is why I had the curtain open like u ain’t aloud to have a curtain open and on top that as I said the window was pinned shut somehow so he sounds stupid saying ashes were even in the window we don’t smoke but if we did not around my kids outside I quit smoking 11 years ago little do they know my husband and kids have asthma lol cannot smoke in the same room even with an open window that does not open and they charged me they better refund everything or they will lose all our family business I loved choice but when the worker called yelling at me like my husband I had dropped off at work my son got on the phone and said do not call my mom a lier (he is 16) very bad asthma he even said he put the blankets on the hallway to be washed he said why would I steal a dirty blanket, crazy, I don’t know why after the worker heard him he hung up I recalled my company and thier supposed fix it but then this worker already called like 8 times over the blanket and still cigarettes and saying thier charging another 100.00 after 187.00 and 150.00 down and 200.00 for smoking and don’t smoke lol a joke do...

I have stayed at this hotel a couple times a year for 20+ years to visit family. My last visit was for a celebration of life and family reunion. First before I booked that hotel I called and the hot tub was working.. it was not. There were maybe 10 hotel rooms actually occupied that weekend. 8 rooms were my family. We actually had to pay $5 a kid for my nieces and nephews to swim in the pool and there were no towels. If you go out the lobby doors to your car at night DO NOT FORGET your room key!!! I was stuck outside for over a half hour because no one was behind the desk. I was in pj's and just ran out to grab my phone charger... Well it was raining and cold I was soaked by the time I got back in! I requested a late check out the last day. I couldn't sleep after being soaked and cold on the uncomfortable bed with the world's flattest pillow.. After having all the kids eating snacks and drinks in my room after they went swimming it was a disaster in the morning. Being courteous for the maid I picked up all the garbage and even threw it into the outside dumpster. Well I travel with my seizure alert, mobility PTSD service dog and I was 15 minutes late checking out of the room. The manager actually came into the room pissed off and yelling as I was closing the last bag. There weren't literally 6 pieces of dog food on the floor that I was going to pick up when i picked up the dog food bowl. The manager was so rude and asking me why I need a service dog that he doesn't see anything wrong with me!?!

I was so freaked out by how he was acting that I was afraid to even pick up the bowl and even forgot my grocery bag in the refrigerator! I literally was bawling my eyes and having a panic attack driving for almost 2 hours... I wasn't even going to bring his actions up to anyone and just stay at a different hotel in the future.. But since I just went through my bank statement from last month I just saw that he charged me a $28 fine!!!! Seriously I should have grabbed the 2 bags of garbage and food from the dumpster and put it back in the room or in...

I think this previous review hits the nail on the head. We stay here for the Colby HS Alumni Basketball Tournament every two years. The biggest selling point is the Hot Tub, which was not in operation. I got a roll away and asked for that cost to be waived for the non use of the hot tub and was told I'd get a call Monday or Tuesday. I assume I'll never hear from anyone. The breakfast used to be very good, but has definitely fallen way off. Obvious wear and tear of time, but nothing seems to be getting updated. Hallways were 80 degrees which seemed ridiculous. Turn the heat down and put some of that money towards upgrades/fixes.

The Abbotsford Rodeway Inn is a clean, price-friendly, and efficient place to stay when visiting the area. There aren't many options, so I'd use this one again. The staff is friendly and attentive. The facility itself is clean and functional. I didn't see any signs of insects or long-standing uncleanliness. They are pet friendly with a small fee. It's easy to access the hotel and the area it's in is very quiet. However, the hotel doesn't stand out for overall quality. The beds are older and not comfortable. The bedding is also old and worn, with several holes/tears in what was provided for my room(s).The entire building is dated, with poor quality fixes (pieces of wallpaper scotch taped over holes, etc). I confirmed I'd be getting rooms with Queen beds, but the rooms only had full beds. I also confirmed pet friendly adjoining rooms, but upon check-in was told that wasn't possible. The whirlpool was closed, and the pool - a big selling point for my family - was extremely cold. Breakfast was OK, with very limited options. Overall I'd stay here again if I needed a room in the area, but I would return with very low...

My experience wasn't wonderful, but it wasn't horrible. I'll explain. This hotel is easily accessible off highway 29 with a QuikTrip across from the parking lot. VERY convenient. There are a few local restaurants nearby, and a grocery store not far. First impressions are rather grim as the outside exterior is in dire need of tidying up, and power washing. The lobby was dated with peeling wallpaper and staining. The carpets in the hallway were dirt covered (due to high volume weekend I assume). There was a distinct musty oder in the hallway and the 3rd floor flooring, though carpet covered, had damage underneath as you can feel soft spots and see areas of heaving (where I suspect there was water damage to the particle board underneath). I had grave expectations for the cleanliness of my room, but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was (considering). I'd rate it 7 out of 10. There were a few disappointments including considerable staining on the bed skirt, a dirty remote control, and spots on the sink chrome, (Yes I'm that thorough). It was in fact, to my expectations reasonable for the rate charged, though the bed skirt needs attention ASAP. The bed slept well, pillows were nice and towels were clean. The microwave and mini fridge worked and we're clean. The air handler worked fine. The shower was nice, and bathroom was tidy. The pool and hot tub were very nicely maintained, though the cleanliness of the surrounds could have been a bit better. I caught house keeping vacuuming the halls and the pool chemicals being checked. The continental breakfast was standard, but a nice perk for the rate of the rooms. It's not an unreasonable place to stay, but it certainly not a Radisson or Holiday Inn if that's what you are looking for.

We stayed here 2 years ago and I reviewed it then. We had a good experience, which is why i booked rooms here again, however, It has gone downhill since then. The ice machine on the 3rd floor is STILL broken. There is no conditioner, they only give you "conditioning shampoo". The front desk guy told me it's the same thing as shampoo and conditioner. I told him that's not what that means but he insisted so I had to go down to Family Dollar and buy some. There's is a definite odor now that wasn't here last time. The vending machine is basically empty. There are multiple spots in the hallway floor that are sunken and feel like you're going to fall through if you step on them. There was hair in the shower and the shower pan is stained. The toilet made a godawful sound like a dying cow so I had to turn the water off to it and turn it on every time I needed to use it. The windows and mirrors are dirty. The blankets are old and pilled like something you'd find at a thrift store. The curtains hang in such a way that if you have them closed the air from the AC unit goes up behind the curtain instead of into the room so you've got to shove the curtain up onto the windowsill to get any air flow. There weren't many other people staying here so it was quiet and the view is pretty. It is a convenient location since my family live around the area. We didn't have the breakfast, but it appears to be minimal. Waffles, bagels, English muffins, a few kinds of cereal, yogurt, sausage. We won't be staying here again.

The reviews aren’t wrong it definitely is a little outdated, but he memories made and the staff their are amazing. They have a casino (game room) next to the pool. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were broken but it helped socialize and limit sickness. The rooms were very homie and unlike the photos there is a flat screen tv in most of the rooms. The pillows were actually one of the best hotel pillows I’ve slept on. In the bathroom they only have conditioning shampoo so I do recommend you bring your own. But unlike most hotels the water pressure for the shower was actually good. There was also no bed bugs. The vending machine was not empty they even offer pizza to sell if you get hungry. The breakfast wasn’t even half bad either. There is also a kwik trip next to the hotel so if their breakfast isn’t good enough for you just walk across the parking lot to the kwik trip. The hotel is also right off the highway so when people say it’s off the beaten path that is a lie. Overall great stay made a lot of memories.
