This is the 3rd extended stay that I’ve stayed at The Extended Stay. One time in the Irving,Tx area that was awful. Once in Colorado Springs (Corporate Drive location ) and now the 555 Airport Creek location. They do have great rates, but you get what you pay for! Each time the staff is always courteous and very polite. The Corporate drive location probably is newest location in the Colorado Springs area. The 555 Airport Creek location is dated! No lamps, or no place to charge your phone if you don’t have a wall plug. There are no USB outlets in the wall, no closets, no ironing board or iron. There is a desk and chair in the room. A 2 burner stove, full-size refrigerator, and a microwave. ***THE ELEVATOR IS BROKEN & YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE STAIRS (4 levels)***** From what I’ve heard, the elevator has been broken for at least 2 months+. I just needed a place to sleep while I worked in the city, but when I seen roaches 🪳 it was time for me to go!! There is no staff after 10pm.

This place has the worse staff possible if you are going on vaca to Colorado Springs I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, The stay is supposed to be comfortable when you are on vacation, but they make it so uncomfortable, the front desk are rude and don’t care about there guests. They gave us toilet paper, not even wrapped up and then the staff was completely disrespectful. The trash cans In the front and back of the building were full of trash coming out the top, it was disgusting. I would not recommend staying here to anybody, not if you are trying to have a nice vacation with your family. Because again the staff there are terrible and rude and the cops got called there two times durning our stay bc of crazy ppl acting nuts out front who apparently stayed there as well. Just not a very good family place to stay.

Horrible place. Room has roaches and bugs. We were given a 4th floor room and the elevator is out of order, it was extremely difficult for my son to climb those many stairs due to a medical issue. but he somehow managed. Checking out first thing tomorrow morning. Don’t stay here even if it is for free.

Unfortunately a really bad experience, the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel and I’ve been to many. The hotel is filthy and infested with roaches in every inch of the place, can’t walk two feet in any direction without seeing one. I never saw anyone cleaning above the first floor, and when I saw anyone cleaning whatsoever it was improper and dangerous, like using dirty mop water and drowning the stairwells in bleach. The elevator has been broken since February apparently and there seems to be no intent to fix it any time soon. My father and I are both severely physically disabled and I have lung cancer and constant trips up and down four flights of stairs don’t exactly mix well with this. The staff seemed extremely friendly at first and were honestly going to be the one positive thing I had to say, but as time went on they got worse and began to target my dad for no apparent reason, like slamming the back door in my disabled fathers face because he propped it open for less than five minutes while standing right next to it. Along with this, his keycard wasn’t working after he’d repaid for our room, and they outright refused to let him into the building because he didn’t have an ID… again literally right after he had paid for the room and had been staying there for multiple nights, and I had to walk down four flights of stairs to let him in when my legs were already in really bad condition :/ Along with this, after we’d been there for over a week, someone else booked our room that we were in, and instead of trying to help us or fix their mistake whatsoever, they made us move to a new room with a single bed.. when there’s four of us. The new room was just as filthy and falling apart, and there wasn’t even a plug for the bathtub. And probably worst of it, my brother and our dog were viciously attacked by a homeless man’s dog while on the property. Both were injured but are luckily okay, but the issue is that the staff has apparently been aware of this man and his dog for a considerable amount of time before we were even there (including the dog being off-leash, aggressive, and attacking people prior to this), and nothing has been done. They insisted that he would not be welcome back on the property after we reported the attack, and told us that they would call the police if he were so much in range, but the very next day? He was sitting there with his dog, still off-leash, completely unbothered, and continued to do so for the duration of our stay. Just honestly a terrible experience overall, I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Their policies on internet use are also extreme, and they charge high fees and prices on absolute everything, even things that are free at pretty much any other hotel. I wasn’t even initially going to leave a review but the horrible treatment of my disabled and deaf father pushed me over the edge. I’d like to be refunded or compensated in some way, but consider the management doesn’t seem to care about their guests or the condition of the place whatsoever, I doubt that’ll happen. You can find places for much cheaper that are cleaner, more accommodating, and with less bugs and less hostility and hatred towards disabled...

First, the location of this hotel is terrible, but that is nothing that extended stay América can do to change that. I stayed here 3 years ago when it was woodspring suites and it was the same type of people hanging around the hotel, but those are not the people staying at it. The sketchy people come from the neighboring hotels. Secondly, the guests that stay here do not train their dogs. They are barking at all hours of the night and day, there are people walking around with their kids at 10-11pm while their child is crying or screaming their head off. There are a few guests who are very loud with their sound systems after 10pm or very early in the morning. But again, extended stay America cannot MAKE people behave. They have to have house training, and manners, which obviously they don't. Which speaks more about them than the hotel staff.

So, let's talk about what extended stay América CAN do. Overall, the hotel was great. Comfy beds, hot showers, working fridge and stove top. There isn't a lot of room in the rooms, but that's just how the rooms are. There is quite a bit of cigarette butts on the ground at all times next to the back door. They recently installed alarms for the side doors due to the amount of homeless traffic that is around the hotel and those are very annoying. In the 2 months I was here, The elevator was down only once and it only took them 2 days to fix it. So I don't know what people are talking about when they say the elevator is "always" out and that it takes "weeks to fix"...but Yes, it does suck that you do have to walk up the stairs, but again, extended stay América cannot MAKE people behave, therefore I don't blame them for that. The first 2 weeks I had someone come to my room and clean, I would have liked that to happen every 2 weeks, but it didn't, which is fine, I clean up after myself. But when I would need toilet paper, to make a payment or any other type of issue, there was 6/10 times there was no one at the desk, which the staff is getting better at. When I first arrived, there was hardly anyone at the desk. The staff is VERY accommodating and friendly. They do try to work with everyone and make sure everyone is happy. It is a big hotel, so it is hard. I haven't seen any bugs on my floor, the second. Levi is so nice and professional, I appreciate all he does for the guests and staff there. Colorado Springs has a HUGE homeless problem at the moment and the hotel staff do have to call the cops quite a bit to ensure the guests/staff safety at all times. There is a couple of tents behind the property, behind the privacy fence and I've heard yelling at 3,5,6 a.m. from over there, and gunshots from the tents behind the hotel. Again, there's nothing extended stay América can do about it, but the location of the hotel is terrible. I really appreciate the staff and the hotel itself, I really needed a place to stay and paying weekly really made it easier for me. I appreciate all the staff for helping me and being kind. I stayed here 2 months and I rarely had any problems. I do appreciate the doggie bags and the doggie areas the most. Overall I had a great experience. Thank you so much...

Currently staying here with my partner and our pet cat, as a little break from driving across the country. We booked the stay on TripAdvisor, where the reviews are far better. Not really sure where all the one stars are coming from here on Google, but let me provide a more detailed review for anyone looking to stay here.

A new General Manager took over five months ago. She's an amazing, dedicated and a SUPER kind, person who's working very hard to turn this place around. As of yesterday(10/19/2023) they had new vending machines installed, a new computer system was installed AND the elevator was fixed!

Our room is a studio with full sized bed. While not spotless, our room WAS CLEAN upon arrival. All sheets were clean and smelled good, mattress and pillows were all clean. The bathroom and kitchen were actually spotless and a lot of it looked new(sink, toilet, fridge). Small soap bar, toilet paper and some towels provided. There were some crumbs/debris on the floor, but we just did a little sweep and were satisfied. The bedside table and the cabinets had a little dust and dirt in the drawers. The halls have always smelled and looked clean, aside from the typical daily mess that someone always seems to be cleaning. We haven't used the laundry room, but it looks very well maintained. $3.00 to wash, $2.75 to dry.

The parking lot was clean, and very large. Plenty of room for big trucks or RV's to park. They let us park our trailer there in the morning, before check-in, so we could explore the town without having the tow it around. We really appreciated it!! They own a bunch of land behind the hotel as well, which has a dirt trail circle for you to walk with your dogs. They also have a very small dog "park" that is shared with McDonalds.

You can very much tell that this was once a very bad hotel. They are remodeling and refurbishing as much as they can, and I think have done a pretty good job with it. Having talked to the GM, the employees and many residents so far, you can tell they are improving. Some people have been living here for years, and will obviously continue to do so. You'll see maintenance going on all the time here, which is encouraging!

The problem with this place comes with the clientele that come and go here. People don't follow the rules and guidelines the hotel has put in place. They put their trash in the halls when they aren't supposed to, people prop the security doors open CONSTANTLY with rocks and some sketchy people sometimes hang around the parking lot.

Overall, for the price of the rooms, I would say you are getting an absolute steal. If you aren't happy with your room, I imagine you could walk right down to the GM and she would happily help you. Everyone has been very accommodating and super chill. Thank you to the staff who work hard to keeping the hall, rooms and parking lot so clean! And thanks for all the help in...
