We had a pretty decent experience over all..
We made reservations back July I believe. We knew we were going to be a late check in.
We got in a little later than we wanted to. Between an accident on I-65, a train stopped, and a flat tire 5 minutes from the campground..
Off the interstate, heading out of town was an easy drive. The hill coming in wasn't to bad. Stopped and got our site map and proceeded on up. It would have been a pretty easy back on for site 90. Sites weren't to bad to get into or level, just be careful going through the section further back when leaving. Electric and sewer were both in a great spot. Water was a little further up (we were offered a second hose, but we declined as we had just enough water on board still and used their facilities). You'd need about 30-40' extra of hose to reach water if yours is in the back like ours. Electric was stable. Water pressure seemed good when I had to rinse my feet off.
Fire pits where nice as were the grilles.
Facilities were pretty clean overall. We enjoyed it being very close to the small Nashville town.
The younger lady was very nice and informative, and helpful. We didn't get a chance to talk to the younger guy but seemed busy. We didn't disturb him. The older lady didn't seem to be overly (or really friendly at all) friendly at any point during our stay. We spoke to her briefly over the phone, and she was helpful, but again, tone didn't set as welcoming or friendly. Hopefully if we get a chance to come back, we can talk to all of them a little more.
The place overall looked pretty nice, and well set up. The fences between some of the sites are a nice touch. The sites on either side as you pull in, aren't big enough for us to stay hooked up with our truck the night before. We have a 27' TT and an extended cab long bed 03 F250. I'm glad we called and moved sites.
The pool was nice for the 5 minutes I got to enjoy it. Apparently "Everything closes at 6" but the laundry and shower house. The exercise room also closes at 6, and you may not even be allowed to look into it.. I seen the signage after the old fart ran me off... Hopefully next time we won't cause so much trouble for her..
Overall, we...
Read moreWe went Thursday-Sunday and the office for the campground is only open until 6:00pm so it was frustrating to call at 6:15pm and not get anyone. For a KOA Holiday this one was a very bit disappointment. Our site was a pile of rock fill that, on the sides and back was running off, so every time I went to the side or the back I slid down rock hill and fell a couple of times. The site was tiny as well,, no grass anywhere in the park. The owners guest service skills were not there. We had an ev that we plugged into a 30 amp for about 30 min. He saw it and asked them to move it. They did right away and then went and charged our account. $27. There is no policy or rule on there website that states there would be a fee to charge an ev. When I went and asked about the charge the owner jumped down my throat saying I had been a minis since we got there. We pulled in around 10pm on Thursday and had some issues with our trailer almost rolling down off the pile of stones. We were emotional and louder then we should have been, but the owner told us when I was talking about the $27 charge that others told him of our loudness. I was walking to the office Saturday morning wearing a orange Reeses shirt. He drove by and said, "hey, its the great pumpkin". I looked at him and said, "Reeses. So back again when I was asking about the $27 charge he also said there is just no pleasing you. I tried to get you to laugh this morning with the great pumpkin. I am sorry but name calling isn't funny. Could have just said, nice shirt. The sites are extremely small, no grass, all they have is a small run down old playground, and a large chess set and a pool. The saddest KOA Holiday we have been too. The scheduled activities were sad and small as well. The wifi was the only thing that worked well. Our campfire ring was so close to our camper, and we could not scoot our camper over anymore or we would be rolling down the cliff of washed away rocks. Would...
Read moreNew owners made a lot of improvements by adding more sites in the back. There is a nice walking trail in the back. If you tow, youâd be better get a pull thru site as campground on hill and not really a good place to detach. We had back in site and was visibly private; not audibly quiet. Last night there new neighbor partied until 1am. I called owner next day to give them a heads up in case they did it again to whoever stayed in our site when we left. I kind of felt chastised for calling. I was told âUnfortunately, things like that arenât in our controlâ.. Then I told them in the morning there were 9 chairs out with cans and bottles all over the site and was told âwell, another site could have been over there with themâ. I wasnât looking for excuses, I was just stating facts. I had to repeat 2 or 3 times, I wanted to let them know in case it happened again. Someone can patrol after 10:00 to check. (That is within their control to prevent it happening again). Instead I was made to feel like a Karen for calling. My husband heard my conversation & as soon as I hung up: he said âhe didnât care at all; did he?â Unfortunately, I didnât even get Iâm sorry. But the campground is nice and hope they improve on their customer...
